Green Book - 8/10;
Taxi Driver - 7/10.

Interesting to see how (seemingly) heavily Joker (2019) drew inspiration from Taxi Driver.

I don't know if it's because I watched them both relatively closer together, but the resemblance was pretty striking to me.

Bad Boys for Life 8/10

Yep - a pleasant surprise. Really funny too.

Aladdin (2019) - 6.5/10 - it had its moments and looked good, but lacked the magic of the 92 version and the villain was pretty terrible to be honest

I was expecting this to be lethargic and full of cliches?

Am I wrong?

What’s changed? They didn’t manage it for the first two which were awful.

Oh clichés galore - but the film is very much aware of it and plays on it.

Bad Boys is an escapism film - get out, grab your popcorn and watch some decent action with a few laughs thrown in. It's what cinema is all about.

I've noticed one or two 9 out of 10 ratings for 1917 and was just wondering why some posters thought it just fell short of being a Masterpiece (without spoilers of course)

I'd give it a 9/10 for how it was filmed and the production/sets. Incredible how they make it look like a one take film.

The ending was a bit underwhelming after such a good build up. It wasn't a masterpiece by any stretch. on levels with Dunkirk

If its on levels with Dunkirk, I probably won't go and watch it then. I was disappointed with that film.

Guess it's all about opinions Tamwolf

If you like massive production and amazing set's then the film is for you. I watched it in Imax

Yeah Dunkirk was underwhelming. Very small scale for a war movie. Apparently it's one of Tarantino's favourite films from the last decade.

Strict ratings, would think for most even if it's not right up their for them it's better than 'just ok'.

Harsh. It’s not amazing like done people are saying, but it is very good.
