Can't believe Bobby missed that.
The players just have to move on quickly. They let themselves and the fans down tonight.
Swansea deserved it.
I said before the game that these sort of games without the creativity and flair of Coutinho concerned me. The players tonight and an inactive Klopp highlighted these concerns.
One of those days.
We haven’t had many of them this season.
None of our attacking players played well.
They were crap but tried hard and scored a goal and we didn’t.
On to the next one.
Swansea were brilliant what a defensive performance!
We kept playing it narrow which is what Swansea wanted, when we got it wide we were poor. That’s an area we can really improve.
Fair play to Swansea though and top management too.

The loss isnt that big an issue. A draw is only 1 point more. More worrying is our inability to break these types of defences down. You get a reputation for it and it encourages teams to do it. Noone bothers against united so they actually leave themselves open and are probably easier to beat. Work to be done
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Wouldn't really say we failed to break them down, just made the wrong decisions. Plus Firmino should have scored.

Last time we went away to Dubai I think we dropped points then as well

Pretty sure the expected goals stat will show 3 or 4 for us and 1 for them.
We didn’t create loads (nobody ever does against flat back 10’s), but we didn’t lose because of a lack of creativity.
Was that vvds first pl game for you lot ?

Klopp to take the blame for this one.. he should have known that Swansea will sit back and rely on set pieces
1. Swansea needed the points.. a draw was no good for them.
Let Swansea open up they were bound to after 30mins
2. Not playing Lallana, knowing you need to have someone with good technique in tight situations
3. Not reacting and putting TAA on, knowing we will have plenty of ball
4. VVD should be on free kick duty, especially from the side Salah took.
All in all that was just as frustrating a match as there would be
Klopp to blame..
(Delaying posting this until all the wums have their say)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Swansea were never going to open up. They would have happily took a draw. Lallana has been out most of the season and barely started a game since. He needs time to get back to sharpness. I agree with your TAA point.
Brilliant result, best score line.

Exactly. Disappointing result after beating City but football's weird like that sometimes. No point in dwelling on it.

yes
he was aces
great debut
Might be a blessing in disguise.
As Im pretty sure after that City game, the romantic that he is, Klopp was thinking his boys will be fine, no real rush to replace our best player who has just left.
Well, in those type of games you need real creativity in midfield, and tonight, we had none.
Disagree they were crap. They defended brilliantly and Xserved to win.
What is it with you, beat the top team then lose to bottom team
Massive mistake from VVD, plenty of time for him to make up for it though.

we had just shy of a handful of good chances
everyone just botlled them
So in a week we've beaten the top team Man City then beaten by bottom team Swansea City. We started the game so slowly and never recovered.
