BBC say it was 43m, but Dortmund want 50+
Just begs the question if we are really in for him. He’s one of the best strikers in Europe and we are terrible negotiating team want to pay peanuts. Disgrace.

we have a new negotiating team, let's not judge them on their predecessors, they may well surprise us

The bids been rejected , same rubbish if you ask me. This ain’t no Mickey Mouse player, if you want the best you pay what they want simple as.
Why won’t arsenal just pay the 53m required it not like the club is skint
He’s also a 40 goal a season striker
53m is peanuts

That's true tbf.
Problem is Dortmund want Giroud. We need to pay the asking price now before they dig their heels in and say no unless Giroud is included
Can’t afford to lose Giroud
£53M in this market is nothing
They want £50m. We offered e50m.
Just a translation error
What’s the point of taking our entire entourage to Germany looks like waste of journey imo
We really need more quality in Mf and the flanks

Kicker confirm what the BBC saying. Our second bid was 50M EUR.
We have a history of facking up negotiating - as an example we offered Wilshere less and that may well come back and bite us in the ass now other clubs are looking at him...
Oh well they tried. I hear wengers got his eye on a teenage sensation from Gabon he will bring in instead.
Pretty obvious Arsenal think BVB will be forced into selling off PEA on the cheap because he's kicking up a fuss around the squad. But BVB won't have any of it and i expect the negotiation team to understand this quick and move on with the agreed fee.
From what i read it's either 60m euros and Giroud on loan or a straight up 70m euros.
We are still appalling at getting transfers done. This has been dragging on for weeks and we are still messing about with it. I am half expecting another "we ran out of time" excuse from Wenger.
Hope we get it done, however you never know with this club. If we are offering the full amount, Dortmund need time to get a replacement. If we give them Giroud on loan, he is injured atm so Dortmund will have to sign another striker also.
