Ivan I’m impressed you managed to write so much about that match - I was actually speechless at the end. Like you though the thing that stuck out for me was the total lack of effort or urgency from the players. Losing 2-0? No rush, let’s take our time over goals kicks and throw ins, if the ball runs out for a Morton goal kick just leave it for their ‘keeper to wander over to collect - no need to speed things up. It’s about as angry as I’ve been at a match for years.
I don’t really follow lower league football but I also remember watching Gary Harkins humiliate teams in the old first division, so can sort of relate to you. I hear he was better than peak Zidane on Saturday? Maybe you should try and sign him to try and reach the level we were at a decade ago when we were also fighting for mid table in the first division.

I don't understand how we can be as utterly shiiite as we are. We desperately, desperately need an injection of pace in the team and he's signed a couple of big dumplings.

Genuinely though I fear for St Mirren getting promoted, I think it is a season too early and they will be comfortably beaten by most in the top tier if they hold on to top spot.
I think it'll be a stroll to the title for Saints now. We've just crumbled.
It's a shame because it was shaping up to be a really exciting league.

Looks like the league is won for them now, can’t see us or any other team clawing that back.
Interesting about it being a season too early, their most important player in almost all of their wins has been Lewis Morgan, take him out the team and they’re really no great shakes, which of course is exactly what’s happening when he moves to you guys at the end of the season. Unless they can recruit well I think they’ll struggle - too many teams have been around the dogfight/scrap block who will still be there you would imagine - Partick, Hamilton, Dundee etc. I don’t know how they are cash wise when it comes to having to sign players to do a job for them.

Like last season all over again - got to the top of the league then bottled it and could hardly buy a win for weeks on end, costing us not only the title but 2nd place (and the round fewer of playoff matches that comes with it).
