This. A lot better than Morata, and he's not cup tied for CL.

However our transfer business is still baffling, should be buying Vidal and Mahrez not mediocre $hit like Drinkwater and Bakayoko and no attacking players behind the striker yet loaning Kennedy and Musonda

We barely had any attackers as it was, we had Kennedy, Musonda, Pedro, Willian and Hazard. And we've just let the first two go, so now we have Pedro,Willian and Hazard.

If two are out at the same time then what?

Barkley for £15 is a steal. If he’s shet we’ll sell him off making a good profit.

Emerson is highly rated. Hoping he displaces Alonso.

Giroud is one of the best back up strikers we could get. PL proven and costs half of what Roma wanted for Dzeko.

I think we’ve had a decent transfer window.

And on top of that , I've found out in the last hour that Musonda has been loaned out to Celtic until his career is half over - really, what's the point in these overseas lads signing for us?

They may as well have stayed where they were to get 1st team football and had a proper home to develop in.

We are short two or three quality signings. We've plenty of mediocre players (which are needed as squad players)

So apparently the target man is a Conte wish and the board have given into this wish. Hence why we've seen the crazy names being suggested over the past 3 weeks.

Read good things on Emerson. But I really hope we didn't settle for him and stopped chasing top players in Telles/Sandro because of Alonso scoring he odd goal recently, as was reported. Makes me wonder if there's other top targets we know about and don't bother going for, end up going for a player of lesser quality just because

From Girouds perspective, I thought he’d be leaving for regular first team football, he’s certainly good enough.

That actually did make me laugh!

Summed up exactly how I feel as well.

At least with previous post-title win transfer windows we were bringing in dross but for almost nothing. This time we've loaded up on average players but are close to £200m total spent .

The board should've told him to feck off and get the team to start playing football on the ground. I can't think of another top team around whose style of football needs a target man to lump it up to.

If Giroud is Conte's type of player then we need a new type of manager.
