Giroud is a decent stop-gap.. PL experience, eligible for the CL and he fits the type of striker Conte wants.

Whoever is in charge in the summer whether it be Conte, Luis Enrique, Allregri or someone else they will probably look to upgrade our front line.

Agree with you mate. Zero ambition being shown here by the club.

If Morata is out for a few weeks how many Chelsea fans would actually be comfortable with Giroud starting all of those games? Or how about when Morata is in chit form, is Giroud really going to push him for that starting role? He may not be cack but he is a very limited footballer who is going to restrict the way we play if we gear our team towards his strengths.

I'm actually seriously worried about the direction of this club. That Drinkwater purchase should've set alarm bells ringing for fans. We've effectively decided that we don't want to compete with the best and are content at just maintaining somewhat competitive. The moment the club stops trying to improve the first team with real quality and just goes after "squad fillers" is the moment the stagnation begins.

Giroud wouldn't start for a single team in the top four yet we deem him good enough for us? In fact he'd struggle to make the bench for most of their teams - only at Spurs could I see him being a viable backup option.

Giroud is a decent player, and i'll be sad to see him leave if he does go. However he isn't good enough to be a number 1, he always disappears after he stars about 3 games in a row. He's never been as good when he has a longer run in the team. His goals come in patches. He is a great impact player, and can offer a team a lot. He just isn't quite good enough for a regular first choice

Giroud is a decent player, and i'll be sad to see him leave if he does go

As a backup striker he's OK. Compared to Carroll & Crouch he's positively awesome
