Dembele was good . Mind you , The next comments from many on here for him to be sold is only 1 poor performance away.

Dembele is essential in any big game because he has the ability to boss a midfield against the top sides.

Very rare type of player / talent

Calls for him to be sold are ridiculously wide of the mark

Can he do it again so soon? Been very inconsistent this season

Me too. If he put a foot wrong I didn't notice, and his runs from deep were excellent.

Still feel Dembele finding his was back after his injuries and slowly getting back to his best. Always be a fav of mine .
Vertonghen was immense. Due a break surely . Not sure he has missed many games this season .

Absolutely love Moussa. Best player imho. Sure Kane, Eriksen,Alli et al get the plaudits but for me Dembele on form is the man!!

Dembele or Eriksen for me but Vertonghen played really well and has for most of the season particularly since we lost Toby.

To be honest for me Dembele is the top midfield player in the country with the ball at his feet. Super balance, superb control and goes past players like they are not there.

Other players are more effective during a game with goals and assists etc so I am not saying he is the best midfielder in the country but for outright ability on the ball Dembele is untouchable.

Think Trippier proved alot of people wrong with his display. Many thought Sanchez and Martial would be all over him.

Yep. I can almost sense disappointment from Edin that he had a good game.

Don't know why people don't think he's capable of it. He's been reliable a lot of the time, including against Real Madrid.

Spurs came to play, every man on the team had a good outing.
Perhaps Son could improve his decision making in front of goal. Sure peed Kane off once or twice.
Sanchez was rock solid.
Trippier seemed to have moved up two gears.
Even Ben Davies, who I don't like, put in a good shift.

It makes a difference to have Eriksen back in midfield.
Dembele played strong, but needs to curb his temper. An early sending off would have ruined this match.

And Vertonghen was a true captain at the back, and sometimes at the front too!
MOM goes to the team as a whole.

Davies motm in my opinion .

Look you dont have to be a football genius to spot Trippiers shortcomings. Yes he played well yesterday GOING FORWARDS but when utd had a good 20 minute spell in the first half he was turned inside out a couple of times.

Yes he delivers a good cross but note that he never ever beats a player to get that cross in. He always needs time to deliver.

Think back to really good full backs that you have seen in the past and tell me that Trippier is up there in that class of player.

No he is not its that simple. Both our full backs this season are inferior to the pairing we had two seasons ago.

Sorry and all that but one good game going forwards does not turn Trippier from an average pro player into a top class one.
