I thought Leon had real potential when he first came in to the team, I don't believe he did fulfil that potential to be fair, but he's done enough to persuade plenty of clubs to invest in his talent over the years.

if so, then the reason he hasn't had a good career for wolves is because he had a poor scoring record in 2nd and 3rd division football, failed to make a significant impact in either spell, and also managed to p!ss off the fans with his behaviour during his first period.

i don't think any of that's controversial? if you think he had a good career at wolves then it's yr opinion, but i'd say you are wrong...as would the vast majority of wolves fans.

i think my post was quite clear that he had done ok for himself at other clubs and over the years he has maintained a level way above the vast majority of men in the country. that still doesn't change his relative failures at wolves, or his inability to perform at champ level or above for most of his time playing.

a fair summary i agree with gb. just pisses me off when people sneer at him. as you say he's not the greatest but he's done what the great majority never have.

Leon has 137 professional goals, you won't find too many active players with that many in English football.

Also it isn't exactly right to say he is a third tier player when he has played a lot more games in the championship than league one.

Not expecting big changes today, on fact probably none for kick off but look forward to seeing Afobe's introduction somewhere in the second half.
