I wouldn't be surprised if he left just to stop being asked when he's leaving by journalists. Really, he should just state at the start of every interview, if that question is raised he will end the interview.

Bit like that journo Laura konigsburg who asks Theresa May the same question

Brendan Rodgers would fit that bill, and the other although his last job ended in disaster would be Koeman.

Rodgers will only work if we dive nose first into our youth, which history suggests we're incapable of doing and a number of fans (including myself) would question whether it's a right course anyway.

It's far too romantic an appointment, the old Chelsea youth manager coming back to blood the new generation, to ever work in practice.

Might as well hire Wenger when he leaves us if u are considering Koeman.

Lots of good managers in Siera A and Roberto Martinez is a good option as well. There is the Monaco manager.

I mean there are options. You just obviously don’t watch a lot of footie

Napoli coach Maurizio Sarri seems to be in the running. Has Napoli at the top of Serie A at the moment and seems happy to work to more of a budget regarding players.

Unless Sarri wins Serie A or a trophy, I just don't see him being in consideration.
Roman employs trophy winners.

Another one that has no time for youth integration.

What about Ruud Gullitt or Frank Rijkaard or even Ancelotti as next Chelsea managers?
