Based on what? Did he see a touch that ref or linesman didn't or did he use some secret VAR? They got the decision right on this offside by complete chance.

So you got the bit where he immediately says yes then? The link I mean? Because if that's the case he did it awfully quickly and is using a VAR system that he's not allowed to use.

Something I really don't get about the first pen is this, so kane isn't offside because Lovren is deemed to have made a pass instead of a deflection, but the only reason Lovren attempts to clear it is because kane is there and Lovren has no idea if he's offside. Surely he's therefore interfering with play and is offside?

Lovren was being Lovren. All he had to do was connect with the ball and as usual he fluffed it.

And if Loveren leaves the ball to run through , Kane’s offside , all he had to do if he believed Kane was offside was leave the ball alone

I said it in arsenal versus chelsea game where the ref was nearly it seemed checking every decision he made which made you wonder did they ever make a call 100 percent

I imagine Atkinson switched his ear peice straight off when Moss asked him what was on the telly.
