I'd love a win, but Sunday is the biggest game since Wembley... Until the WBA game of course....
Hoping for a win tomoz for a confidence booster
Wagners comments just shows what a c#ck he is!...ffs
And of course Watford are winning! 😣
New manager syndrome......... Again!
Watford 4-1!
Conte will be gone tomorrow too.
Good read Darn. I couldn't care less, and a what I've said about this premier league farce is coming to fruition.
We're only a league apart on paper, we'd struggle in the championship on this form, and if we were still in the Championship, wagbo would be history, we all know it, but the club feels like it owes him something
3-1 defeat tomorrow.
To come out with that sheet about changing tactics now we are playing easier games on paper is just not on imo....playing positively would have meant more points on the board by now!
He has spoilt the season for me with his incompetence!...he should be sacked!
Constant excuses and belittling our great club!
We owe him nothing!...he got lucky thats all
We beat watford yet look how they approached chelsea to how we did!....just be brave and have a go ffs
Agree entirely with all the comments above .
So Watford last night,
And lets not Forget Bournemouth's heroics AT Stamford Bridge too . Teams that have thought, "Sleeves up.Lets have a go",
Where does that leave Wagners tactics & outlook ?
Imagine, defeat tonight, and the Town fans & players mental anguish going into the game on Sunday.
I say again, Only a win will do tonight, nothing else is acceptable.
Hydy is absolutely 100% correct, A hard truth that might be hard to stomach, But any other side, more so in the Premier league, (& on the evidence of the style of football being dished up, Along with the contradictory comments post match) Would have parted company with the coaching staff/system long ago.
With a £100 mill bonus payment hanging out there in the breeze, Loyal sentiment, made BEFORE a nigh on full new starting eleven had been bought, Must surely negate a continuation of a, (in football terms)..impending disaster .
If it's a tricky 'save face' scenario, on both sides of the coin, Well then act now Olive & employ someone on the lines of 'A Director of Football' to grab the bull by the horns & and do all we can to save the situation. It's not being disrespectful, Wagner clearly is out of his depth & Needs HELP.
So don't sack him. Then let him(Wagner) deal with the arrangement post season.
That has to be the most painless, sensitive way to approach this dilemma.
Over reaction ? Not in my view.
Leeds, not exactly on the verge of catastrophe, But have decided to 'twist' rather than stick.
Bradford, OK a horrendous run recently, But still within a challenge for a play off spot... they too have decided to try & go for it.
Palace,
West Ham.
Swansea,
WBA,
Stoke,
All of 'em except 'us'. Doing all they can to 'survive'.
While we as a club sit on our hands.
Not what I expected when we achieved promotion that day.
To endorse the sentiment !
Have you noticed how the comments on the post game BBC reports have changed, ?
Early season the general consensus was,
what a breath of fresh air we were, And that they wished us well for the rest of the season, Hoping we'd be still in the EPL next season.
Now:-
Along the lines of,
Worst team in the league, Best bet for the drop, toothless performances, blah blah..in general, very negative towards us.
That's the magnitude of the fall in performances.
Any fool can see it. except..................
As Walt just said,
"Just be brave & have a go ffs."
As I've said before... Spurs killed Wagner's gung ho approach as early as September... Every top 6 side since ( barring Man U) he has set us up to not concede too many... No attacking play at all.... Dave... Don't give from hero to zero in the space of 9 months by suppressing the attacking urges we had early season with the Terrier spirit brand name behind us....
I don’t know which category I fall in to, part of me is really not that bothered about the cup, it lost it’s appeal years ago and survival is more important but the other part thinks have a go, get the win as that should give us a confidence boost, and let’s have another go at beating Man U.
I’m not going tonight, too much of a rush to try and get there after work when the motorway is at a standstill but I will be listening to the radio with fingers crossed.
2-1 to us, no idea as to the scorers as the important thing is we score.
Looking at the next 6/7 fixtures there is only really spurs we cannot win....we can still do this!!!
If we lose tonight and sunday then wagner really needs to stand aside and give someone else a chance and have that final roll of the dice
What to expect tonight,
Their last two games, 3-1 & 3-1 !
They were 3 up v the 's at Hillsborough before half time.
And 3 up v Sunderland who scored a late consolation.
And Cotterill "had a tinge of disappointment".
Obviously concerned at the lapse in effort towards the end of games.
So I think it's safe to assume an early barrage from the home side tonight, A hostile crowd full of confidence after two convincing wins, And gee'd up by a manager who claimed they were 'unlucky' in the 1st leg at the John Smith's !
Tonight isn't about the 'worth' of the FA Cup as such, It's halting a slide,
and saving face against a 'lower' league side at the 2nd attempt , No disrespect intended, But a home win tonight, and the media will pencil it in as a premier league scalp taken by the Championship side.

I expect a Town victory! No nonsense performance, direct and fast paced football. A few injuries, but set the team up to push Birmingham back. Grab a couple of goals...
...then concentrate on the Premier League.
