Good decision. Conte just needs to sort out his attitude and everything will be fine.

Delaying the inevitable.

Still not down to Conte, the blame lies with whoevers in charge of the transfers.

Big mistake......

I don’t know if this is the right decision. I am all for giving the manager to be given the time to turn it around. The board has probably been given assurance from Conte that he is happy at the club (although he has said several that he is willing to see out his contract), otherwise it won’t make sense to keep him in charge.

If that’s the case, then Conte needs to change the system again. Maybe go with four at the back. Teams have found a way to play against us. Bench the underperforming players, some of our fringe players will be itching to be given a chance.

Delaying the inevitable.
---------

A lot depends on performances going forward. All sides are likely to lose the odd match against opposition they are expected to beat but when the performance levels drop to the level they have lately is when the questions start getting asked.

Last night we were appalling at times but the side kept going and hauled themselves level despite playing rubbish and being down to 10 men. OK, we then threw that all away with 6 minutes of madness but the effort was there beforehand. This differs from the last few matches under Jose when we simply did not bother, other than Willian who was top notch (and remains so imo).

We have WBA (H) and Hull (H) FAC coming up next week. Lose those and he may well be out the door but I have a feeling we'll get results. I don't think he's lost the players as some are saying.

Following that we have Barcelona (H), Man Utd (A), Man City (A), Barcelona (A) with Palace (H) sandwiched in the middle.

Everyone expects us to lose to Barca so nothing to lose there. Anything against the two Manchester clubs will be decent results.

I fancy us to beat WBA and Hull in our next 2 games.. We can just take it GAM by game now...I'd snap your hand off for a top 4 place right now.

Conte needs to do mix the system up, Opponents are preparing games against us assuming we will go 3 at the back, We need to throw a spanner in the works.. Go 442/433 if needs be even if its just for 1 game so our opponents wont know EXACTLY how we're gonna set up every game.

Please give examples of the fringe players that have been given a fair chance

I think that is a fair point.

You cannot expect any player that has spent most of the season sitting on the bench to suddenly perform to the top of their ability when given the occasional 10/15 minutes. Most need a decent run in the team before they can be judged.

Drinkwater is a good case. Underrated player imo. He's been mixed when played but has definitely play well at times. Give him a run and he'd get back to his Leicester title winning days especially alongside Kante. He's certainly an improvement on Bakayoko!

Still think Conte could be gone by end of week if he picks another row
