Only watched the first episode so far. Was not that impressed but will carry on.

Once I finish Luke Cage this week it's next on my list. Read the book years ago so really looking forward to seeing what they've done with it.

It's on my laptop. I can watch it any time I want.

Visually it looks blade runner esque. It’s set way way wayyyy in the future, 250 years after a war between this “terrorist” group know as the envoys and the government known as the protectorate. Firstly bodies are now known as sleeves and your soul is stored in the back of your neck which can be transferred between sleeves, so if you’re rich enough you can just keep buying bodies and be immortal. Basically the envoys lose and the last remaining one, Takeshi Kovacs is out on ice.

Fast forward 250 years and he’s brought off ice by one of the elite rich people who needs him to solve his own murder.

That’s the gist but it’s so much more than just that and the twists are amazing.

Just watched episode one. I absolutely love it the story and production standards are expetional.

100% agree on the production, they didn’t cheap out on anything. It just gets better and better btw, hopefully there’s a season 2

Plenty of material if they want to expand. I've read 2 of his books so far (Altered Carbon and Broken Angels) and currently half way through a 3rd (Black Man). Though I read the first two more than 10 years ago, so can barely remember the story.

Strange to hear people talk about it like this, and then see critics slamming it.

Yeah top series alright. No idea what next to watch now. Was very good.

8 episodes in. Feel like I don't know what's going on half the time but I like it anyway.

it’s fantasies.

Second favourite series Netflix has made, right behind Mindhunter which is very possibly the best series of a show I’ve ever seen. It’s a toss up between that and season one of true detective.

Highly recommend mindhunter to anyone who hasn’t seen it.

I had that right at the end, before I realised it was because Netflix had for some unknown reason skipped from episode 8 to 10
Had to go back and watch 9 afterwards and it made a lot more sense. Brilliant series. Hopefully Broken Angels will come soon.

Yes, it was tremendous. Each episode felt like a high end movie. Oozed style.

Best thing I’ve watched on Netflix.

Watched 2 episodes last night.
