Alonso, christiensen, azpilicueta and Moses

There is no way Moses can play at RB. Only Azpi can in our squad. I have my doubts over Alonso at LB too.

I would love for us to try something new and go back to 4 at the back but Conte won't do it.

The back 3 is his "thing" it's what he knows and what he plays.

Back 3 being Conte's "thing" is not strictly true.
Conte started off as a big back 4 advocate in his early Siena, Juventus and Chelsea managerial career (remember 424 or 442).


Moses, Azpi, Christensen, Alonso is a recipe for disaster.

Personally I'd go with a back 4 as follows:

Alonso - Christensen - Azpilicueta - Rudiger

When we're on the offensive it would allow Alonso or Azpi to push forward and we could go back to a back 3.

Rudiger has played as a RB for Roma many times.

I'd worry with Alonso at LB, he's so slow it's unbelievable.

Kante Alonso
Willian Hazard Pedro
Giroud

Back 4 to my mind can only work with:
Azpi, Christensen, Rudiger, Palmieri.

Alonso is a no no as a fullback, can barely defend as a wingback in a back 5 as it is.

Have we bought yet another injured player in Emerson?
