3R, the name of the website would be a good start.

You have to post the picture on a hosting website before we can see it.

Flickr is one you can use:

You'd need to publish it to the internet; search for a suitable photosharing site but be mindful of any public details that you allow that website to share as you may want to keep your anonymity.

I'd suggest using Instagram: very easy to set up an account and keeps your details private if you want it too, plus you can decide whether to share photos publicly or just to friends etc.

You may need to recruit the help of a teenager

My sincere thanks to 666 for your help. I will try as you suggest.

The world gets more complicated each day. It will do so until it disappears under an iCloud of confusion and doubt where nobody knows whether they exist either alone or in huge crowd - or whether they only think they exist.

Open the photo in flickr. Then copy the address and paste it to here.

Mapdini: Once it's on whichever sharing site there should be a means of sharing it, be it a particular icon or by copying the web address at the top of the screen.

Vidals: are pre-emptive strikes allowed?

open the image in Flikr; there should be an arrow displayed which bends to the right which, if you click on, is the 'share' function.

You'll then have the option of sending it to any number of social media sites but there is also a shortened URL (web address) to copy and paste, which is the option you want to take to post it here.

It will be a pleasure Vidal.

I'VE POSTED IT TO FACEBOOK. I THINK! SO NOW WHAT?

It's a pity, such an interesting picture. But I've given up trying to pin it on here. You will all have to get on without it.

Posting it to facebook will I'm sure have thrilled both of your virtual friends, however is little use to 606ers.

Use that bendy arrow symbol on flikr, see the shortened URL, and right-click your mouse on it. Select the 'copy' option and then come on here to paste it. I doubt very much that anyone is even remotely interested but, should you ever have need to post pictures on here again (perhaps to embellish your match report or suchlike) then you will have at least mastered the process.

3R, I strongly suspect that if you attempted to carry out the act in question, you would be squinting down the long grey bit as you pulled the trigger.

Yes GrouseR. Or jiggled it frantically, saying "How do I turn on this blessed contraption?"

It is alright for you youngsters. Remember you will be old one day (soon in some cases). But, Vidal, I used to be a marksman in my army days and I don't think I would miss. The problem with the instructions is, I wouldn't know a URL if but fell on my toe.

However there is at least one good to come out of this. 666 has offered, more or less kindly, to help me and I really appreciate that. Thanks 666 I am now going to try again. And remember - I only found the picture, I didn't compose or take it and was not involved in any way. So there is no reason why you lot shouldn't enjoy it.
