Not really sure what point you are making here. AJ is still the 2nd best British HW. Whyte has improved since the first fight but will still not beat AJ despite taking some dodgy substances.
Whyte beats AJ now I reckon, he's hungry and a born fighter. AJ without that aggression or killer instinct is an average boxer.

I was simply countering your point that Povetkin landing a cracking shot out of the blue on Whyte meant much.
My point is that AJ's CV is padded out with wins against fighters who were well past their prime while he was very much still in his prime when he fought them.
And my other point is that AJ's win against Whyte was about five or six years ago. Things have changed immensely since then. Whyte beats him now if they fight although I doubt AJ fights him as it's career over for him if he loses that one.
Think it's more likely he'll just retire if he loses the Usyk rematch.
I don't think he will retire even if he loses the rematch. The Fury fight will always be there just not at 100m. He also has the Whyte fight. Remember Whyte turned down fighting AJ the 2nd time because he wanted to go down the WBC route.
The Povetkins and Pulev may have been old but they were top of the challenger rankings. For the Wlad fight he fought for the vacant world titles after Fury got done taking substances.
He could have walked away from Usyk but as always he has taken on the best available option.
I think this defeat is a wakeup call. After Ruiz he went into his shell. Won a few fights but against the skilled fighters like Usyk and Fury that will never work. Didn't like his trying to be chilled interviews post fight. He needs to find that nasty streak if he wants to get back at the top.
A good point I heard made was about AJs proclivity to fight in a manner that prevents him from taking too much damage, so he can maintain his health post career.
This mindset is definitely commendable and smart but there are fights where you have to take damage, so you can create an opening to win. This was that fight.
I don't think that nasty streak comes back now, he's been this way for a long time. Everyone mentions the Ruiz fight but he was the same against Parker and couldn't get rid of Takam. The prospect of those massive paydays for unification fights against Wilder or Fury makes him go into a cautious no lose mentality.

Manny Pacquiao will go down as one of the greatest fighters of his era and an all time great. I feel privileged to have seen him in action and it's now truly an end of an era, with both Floyd and Manny retired.
I think my favourite fight of his would be Marquez 1 or the Cotto fight.
Favourite Pacquiao fights?

Amazing fighter and will be sad to see him go
Of course, naturally, will focus now on becoming the president of the Phillipines

there one where Marquez sparked him out in the 6th round

Great fight.
Sky’s first card since Matchroom facked them off and Eubank’s main event is gone, absolute sh!tshow.
Sounds out as well.

Fury vs Wilder 3 this week. Let's hope Fury gets it done sk we can put Wilders excuses to bed. Tricky fight in my opinion, because it would be very easy for Fury to overlook Wilder and that could lead to him getting beaten. We saw it in the otto wallin fight. I'm still going Fury via decision but we all know how one punch can change everything in this division.
Fury looks in absolute peak condition physically and mentally
Yep although Wilder looks in good shape too, albeit coming in a lot heavier than the last fight. The additional weight seems to be all muscle but that will fatigue him as the fight goes long.
Anyone watching it live? I believe fight time is around 5am.
I will probably catch a replay Sunday afternoon.
