3-0 Inoue

That jab is laser sharp and Fulton looks like a deer in the headlights.

Inoue looking sharp. Fulton looks nervous

6-0 Inoue

Fulton throwing more now but Inoue is out working and outlanding him.

The jab to the body can't miss for Inoue.

This is greatness.

How far up can he go? I think featherweight might be the limit but Pacquiao done 8 weight classes, so who knows

His power certainly travelled up to 122lbs

His speed and in and out movement ruined Fulton. It was a masterclass

Are we all in agreement that Spence has fought the better opposition at 147?

Let's also appreciate the fact that both guys said yes to a rematch clause, so if this fight is close or has any controversy, they will fight again.

Yeah Spence has definitely fought the better opposition at 147 although he's been there a lot longer than Bud has. Spence has beaten guys like Danny Swift etc.

Then again there isn't really a huge name on Spence's resume that defines his time in boxing so far. Same with Bud for that matter. It's why they so desperately need to fight each other.

Spence biggest win at 147 is Kell Brook, in the UK. That was prime Brook too.

Yeah that post Golovkin fight Brook though. A fight he was never quite the same after with the orbital bone breakage etc. It's a shame that Brook didn't fight Spence first instead of GGG as I think Kell might have pushed him even further. Spence probably would have still won but it could have been very interesting.

right so picking who we think will win is a little tough.....

so who do we WANT to win ......

Im going Bud, I want him to win.

Spence has been at 147 all his career more or less while Crawford has worked his way up divisions. This is Crawfords biggest challenge without a doubt. He has fought guys in the past just at the right time where they are in decline.

CV wise this is not Mayweather V Paq but still the biggest fight out there currently.

its also Spence's biggest challenge without a doubt. The same things can be said about both mens resume's all their opponents have been well picked at the right times.

Funny thing about this fight is it's quite easy to see who people want to win from their comments lol. You can make a case for either fighter winning this and there's nothing you can really criticise about one fighter that doesn't apply to the other. Neither have fought a fighter on the same level that each of them are going to face on Saturday.

I'm not overly bothered who wins this fight, I'm much more interested in us getting a fight for the ages. I also hope there's no corruption although don't be at all surprised if this fight ends up being a draw.

Most important thing I hope neither fighter gets hurt because both of these guys are going to give everything they have and then some. I actually had a dream recently where Bud got knocked out and hurt badly in the first round. Obviously was just a dream but wanted to give it some air in the hope it doesn't happen.

Final prediction:

I see both guys coming out cagey and Bud's proclivity to start slow will allow Spence to win some of the early rounds. I see them reaching round 6 and it being 4-1 Spence or 3-2 Spence. However, I think Bud will start getting comfortable from round 5 and I see him countering and pushing Spence back in the middle stages. That's when things will get interesting, as I see one guy getting buzzed with a big shot and from then, all bets will be off and both guys will throw the gameplans out the window and just go toe to toe. Both will have their moments and both will get hurt at some point but I see this type of fight playing into Spence's style and I see him winning a close decision, 7 rounds to 5.

Nothing will be bigger than Floyd vs Pacquiao commercially ,but this fight is far more competitive and both guys are closer to their primes. There is also the additional incentive of all the belts being on the line, something that has never happened at 147. These guys will be achieving something even the greats like Floyd and Pacquiao never did.

I cannot see this fight being a one sided beating or a quick finish.

posted on 28/7/23

Main things to watch out for:
Spence working the body early and Bud slowing down
Bud countering Spence when he leans with the left
Bud working the angles
Spence willing to eat punches to get into range
Spence having the higher volume
Bud having the more eye catching shots

I cannot wait. Both great fighters. Just want to see a classic. And hopefully a sequel….

Me either, but I also don't see it being cagey or a slow start either. I think it's going to be war from round 1 tbh.
