It's also worth noting how Spence looks when he returns. He took a beating, which will have physical and mental damage attached to it. His eyes looked bad, could he have suffered another eye injury?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hopefully he comes back strong as I'd still be quite interested in a Spence Canelo fight at some point. Especially if Crawford vs Canelo is out of the question. Although Canelo has business with Benavidez to deal with first I think.

Recency bias Guv, you remember how devastating he was.
Again, it would be a classic matchup.
But I’ve seen Kell Brook hold his own against Spence and Crawford, for a while at least..
Pretty Boy Floyd destroys Kell Brook.
I think his ring intelligence Is/was superior.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There's no shame in that though, Kell Brook was a really good fighter. He took the IBF strap off Shaun Porter don't forget. And if not for recklessly getting thrown into the shark tank against Golovkin by Hearn I think Kell's career might have gone differently. Especially that fight against Spence.
No you right, no shame, wasn’t disrespecting Brook, I just think, Kell going up against That version of Floyd, nah, can’t see him holding his own against him.
Brook was criminally mismanaged.
No one wanted a part of prime Brook at the time, Thurman even admitted it ... none of them wanted Brook at his prime after that Porter fight. They knew he was a good boxer but were surprised at how strong he was. Even porter said in the clinch he was much stronger than he expected, was the first time he had ever been overpowered in the clinch in his career.
But as they say, styles make fights, Crawford and Floyd are so evenly matched, but I think Floyd wins.
Let’s get it out the way.. Amir Khan isn’t in this conversation right?
Prime Floyd and this version of Bud is a silly mismatch Prime Floyd wasnt at 147 like Bud IMO.

Crawford is a better offensive and defensive fighter than PBF. Floyd's IQ really came into play when he became money may. PBF was more offensive but he got hit and if Bud landed shots, he'd get stopped eventually. Also note how Bud was shrugging off Spence, which showed that Crawford was the physically stronger fighter.

Prime Khan would give Crawford some trouble early on but once he has the timing down, Crawford would put him to sleep. Probably by round 4.

Kahn @ 147 when Floyd was operating there beats him IMO.
Floyd wanted zero to do with Kahn, Kahn isnt on his level but Kahns strengths are what is needed to beat a Floyd. If Floyd cant KO Kahn I think Khan would take him on points.

lol sorry Gov that way I was thinking of something else before reading the end of your comment.
yeah bud times Khan and hits hard enough to finish him after dropping him a few times.

he out out to his fans who they wanted at one point .... was mental like 74% wanted Khan and he just ignored it.
To beat that Floyd Philly shell defence you need to be able to jab like mental and through in 4/5's. the biggest problem Khan would get is being timed between the punches. I just think that the Khan that fought Devon Alexander woulda been tricky for Floyd (I dont think 147 was ever Floyds prime however)
Yeh, No Khan would’ve posed problems. He was so fast. But as you say, I just think a timed punch knocks Khan out.
That chin of his, undid a lot of his good work against opponents.
Getting timed would have been less of a worry for Khan though as Floyd didn't hit that hard. I think Khan's speed and agility might have caused all sorts of problems.

I think Mayweather at 147 didnt have the pop to KO him, drop him yeah but KO him maybe not (wouldnt rule it out) Khans chin wasnt great no, but his biggest problem Khan had was that he had fast feet but not smart feet. so when he tired his feet slowed and he wasnt smart enough to subtly get out of the pocket, and time and time again found himself in there too long and guys just swinging.
Well I remember Floyd taking out Hatton.. Khan didn’t have a chin, man would’ve been doing the chicken dance, most probably a TKO
Floyd would have beat Khan but the first 5 rounds would have been interesting to watch, due to Khans speed. Once Floyd gets the timing, Khan would be done and I could see Khan jumping in and getting dropped with a counter.
Khan was on the verge of the Floyd fight but he ended up losing to Danny Garcia.
Floyd would destroy Khan. Khan was put down by Willie.Limmond.ffs. His glass whiskers and recklessness would ensure a well timed counter from Mayweather would stiffen his legs and the fight would be over early.
I was so pleased when Brook got his opportunity to show he was by far the superior boxer, even though Amir was shot. Brook was a brilliant welter weight in his prime.
