Doesn't really work like that though does it?? There are a multitude of other factors. How many we conceded because he played, style of play when he plays, what his replacement would create etc etc etc Deducting 9 points is just a random.
Interesting for me is now i have been drinking in Birch's local and meeting leicester fans generally the majority have simpathy for Marhez and some think the club handled it badly in not letting him go.
We will get more points with him in the team and if you take the invincible season even more so.
Lets see what he does on Saturday,
The main stat for me that Sky presented is that he contributes to 42% of all of our goals either directly or indirectly. That is a major problem for us and he’s become irreplaceable in that respect
When he goes it will be the end of the golden age for Leicester imo and I think we will go back to trying to stay up unless we find another absolute gem
Glory
I did say its not accurate as you say you can't factor in certain things, look at the utd 2-2 the crowd helped there as much as a player,
Black starr
Thats the worry
Without his 30 seconds of trickery
That open up the opposition for a goal or assist, and because teams now defend by a 5-4-1 formation
Which after 3 seasons we still cant break down we need a couple of players with a bit of flair who produce week in week out
Hopefully grey and diabetes will step up?
We need that foxes never quit attitude to come back as well as much from the crowd as the team,

Completely agree BS.
Integral to our success over the last few years. It's been a privilege to watch him play.
In most of our matches there's little doubt about who our two best - or at least most dangerous - players are. I'm not sure that Mahrez is the difference between 7th and a relegation dog fight, although he and Vardy together may be.
However, there's no doubt he'd be a big loss and precisely why we need as much money for him as possible in our quest for a replacement. (Particularly considering half of anything we get will likely end up on a failed gamble.)
I think we’re all in agreement in that the quality Mahrez has to unlock defences is going to be hard to replace.
What has shone a light on this even more so for me is the failure of Gray to step up. He continues to disappoint me personally.
What is also clear is that Puel has changed our style of play and Vardy is isolated. When we replace Mahrez A we have to fix this problem. There are 3 players behind Vardy - we need to change our play to make them link up more effectively.
It’s not just about one player.
Ultimately goals win games. Compare Mahrez to someone like Albrighton. The latter often puts in a more predictable and consistent performance, but far less frequently provides the moment that changes a game. Mahrez can drift around aimlessly for 89mins, but still appear on the highlights of Match of the Day for his one minute of brilliance or inspiration.
I suspect that answer to replacing him will be more complex that just buying someone else. It’s more likely that we might need 2 or 3 players or even a change in style or formation.
Given past experience I’m nervous about our ability to be able to do this. Mahrez leaving and the effectiveness of our recruitment next summer might define our expectations and subsequent experience for the next few years ahead.
Don’t forget we have the Malian Pele...
Mersey "its not all about one player" it is when they are George Best or Messi. We have waited a long time for a Marhez he's the first in my lifertime. you can have as many Albrightons in the team you want.
You need a team of Albrightons to allow the Mahrez to flourish though.
Agree with Nev and Dunge.
I think Mahrez is much better when he links up with Amartey on the right.
The more I consider this, the more I actually agree with Nev. with time after Mahrez’s departure, I don’t think we’ll be talking about his exit, but how much of a wonderful footballer he was.
The annoyance around his proffesionalism will fade with time and we’ll remember the footballer.
All good relationships come to an end though, and it’s now right for us to let him go for the right price.
I agree with everyone in having the worry as to how we replace his creativity and skill. A big test of Puel’s managerial ability
Just being devils advocate ( sorry nev)
Lets spread this argument through the league.
How many points would Man City have withoutt
De Bryne
Spurs without Harry Kane
Liverpool without Saha
Chelsea without Hazard
Man U without De Gea
Im sure the same could be said for every team in the
prem
Good argument / stats though Dublin.
No doubt Riyad would/will take some replacing.
and that was the problem with Peps bid. It came so
late in the winsow, it gave us no chance to bring in
an adequate replacement.
Atleast now, we can almost guarantee he will go in
the summer, so we have plenty of time to target a
replacement (s)
