It's also now 3 unbeaten, 2 away from home. Hopefully, starting to build momentum. Admittedly against teams below us but we've got to start somewhere.

It's quite clear that this team is gelling together very well indeed. All we need to do is make the WFCG a fortress. Make teams be afraid to come here...

Things are definitely looking more positive than a week ago. Sounds like they bossed the majority of that match. Karanka seems to have been rewarded by his faith in Tomlin particularly.

Although QPR are below Forest, 5 goals away from home against anyone is pretty outstanding.

Bring on the Brum!

Just got back.

Typical forest we can't score for ages and then we score 5!

I wish we could play QPR every week, dosnt revenge taste oh so sweet Holloway!

Much needed win and keeps the wolves from the door for a bit.

If we can beat Brum next week then glorious mid tab,e obscurity may await!

Either that or we win the next 12 and get in the playoffs

A good result against Brum would put Forest within reach of mid table obscurity and that would feel good after the last few weeks

Brilliant game. Had a feeling we'd win today. Pocketed $300 on that!

For the first game in I don't know how long, we played as we ended the last one.

A win against Birmingham looks likely if we play the same way again and that should secure our Championship status.

Two tough away games after Brum, with Derby at home in the middle of Norwich and Sheffield United.

After the International break we'll do enough to end mid-table. Got to be hugely positive for next season if we can keep this team together.

All three of Norwich, Derby and Sheff Utd are out of form. If Forest can maintain the efforts of the last 135 minutes of football, they could whisk some points off all three of them.

We are in a bit of no mans land atm, 7 points behind Norwich, who are the next team above us, they have drawn their last 4. After injecting some much needed optimism we must not undue the good work and not beat Brum. An early goal against Brum and the pressure will ease. It was always going to take time for the players to gel, but fingers crossed we may have turned a corner.

If Forest can finish the season with a positive goal difference after treating the fans to some flowing football and big victories then I don’t think we can complain, even more so if they can break the top ten.

Can’t see us turning round a negative goal difference in 12 games, we are almost certain to suffer a few more defeats this season, the main objective now is progression and to build for next season, I have said since transfer deadline day, we have enough quality to stay away from a relegation scrap, though to be fair I was getting a touch twitchey until Tomlin scored against Reading, that could prove to be the turning point of the season.

We are still far to easy to create chances against, qpr are no world beaters but they scored twice and hit the bar

If we truly turned a corner then this would be different

I am relieved we won, and confident we will find the 3/4 wins needed for a secure finish. But that’s about it

Bunk, I don’t think there is a team in this division capable of consistently keeping clean sheets, yes, I agree we are easy to create against, particularly from corners, but defensively we seem better organised than we were, and games together will surely cement together more as a team than individuals.

Forest won’t face strikers the size of Smith every week too. He was a handful in an awkward way. I do agree that Forest defence does need to be a hell of a lot tighter if they have ambitions of breaking into the top ten next season.

posted on 24/2/18

Could be worse, could have laid out the red carpet like QPR’s defence did! Not seen a defence stand off so much in years. Asking for it-Should have been seven or eight really.

Holloway said his team played like a bunch of timid Raccoon's!

He's always good for a laugh after he's lost.

Very bad day at the office, defence and midfield a total joke. The writing was on the wall when Smiths eader came down off the bar and didn't go in. See you next season.

Yes, that looked mightily close on the replay. He could’ve had a couple more. Bit of a perfect storm for Forest but QPR stood off repeatedly. Sure we will resume hostilities in this league next time round.

I certainly hope so RR it's a surefire six point's and plus seven goals! Though perhaps that's a little harsh as you lot had chances at 0-0 in both games.

Anyway when Holloway gives up on football he will make a good pub entertainer.

A few objects appeared to rain onto the pitch when Lolley scored the third goal. Not good from the QPR fans that.

There's a lot of disgruntled fans down the Bush. I'm not sure of the attendance but there's lots of empty seats these days. Three years under Les Ferdinand and second rate managers ave seen to that.

Yes, we can empathise with that feeling after five years under Al Hasawi. Crowds dropped by 7/8,000 by the end of his reign. It was awful.
