Think Trippier is having a great season personally.

I think Trippier would benefit from having Lamela in front of him from the right.

Lamela is a hard worker so covers back. He would better be able to work positions for Trippier to cross. A lot of the time Trippier is faced one on one, with little support and can't beat the man so plays it back / inside.

Look at Aurier yesterday. He had at least half a dozen decent chances to cross the ball and put in 1 decent cross, the rest hit the first man. I havent seen Trippier get that much space all season and put that down to Lamela staying wider and giving an option on the right (usually its Eriksen notionally playing from the right but rarely actually being on the right). I also think Moura playing from the right also draws players in, so may be opening it up more for Trippier who, when he as a bit of time and space, can deliver good crosses.

Trips is not such a good defender, less agile/mobile than Aurier, but none of Auriers games looks that great to me (can still be worked on!). But i'd prefer Trippier in these sorts of games where there is less pace threat on that wing and where teams stay narrow and give the wide players more time.

Why do you think Trippier is having a great season, Flashy?

He's put in some of the worst performances I have seen from a full-back in a Spurs shirt (Man City). Some other pitiful performances Rochdale, WBA, Arsenal away, WHU League Cup, Chelsea.

Admittedly he put in some worldies vs RM & Man Utd bizarrely.

Perhaps cos my expectations / starting point was fairly low. But even with that in the big games he has generally turned up.

He can still improve for sure but he used to worry me whereas he doesn't any longer.

Not sure Walker-Peters is quite ready yet. He played well at Newcastle, but it was needs must in that game. Didn`t he get yanked off at half-time at Newport?

Problem with all our four full-backs this season, whether rightly or wrongly, rotation I think is messing them all up. None are getting a run in the side. No doubt it will be all change again Wednesday, then all change again Saturday. No player can really get up to speed, when he is being left out every other game.

I think Spurs do have four decent full-backs, but time really for Poch to nail down who he thinks are the best two and just let them play in every match now. Our defence last season looked very solid, mainly because it was the same defence week in, week out, this season, I doubt Poch has played the same defence two weeks running.

Not knocking rotation, I think we have done that one to death now, but to get the best out of any player, they simply need to be playing every week. Llorente apart.

Play Aurier. Not a good performance from him but the best thing to do is to get back out there and redeem yourself.

He hardly got yanked off.

Poch pretty much screwed the whole balance of the team in that game.

KWP was out of position on the left and poch changed formation by putting Verts LB to sort the balance out.

Fair enough Flashy, I think both him and Aurier have been about a 6 for the season. Both had good games and bad games, both been way off the level Walker was at last season.

I was saying Aurier was average for weeks, way before the most recent game

This one is hard to judge. How to know a Kyle Naughton from a Danny Rose. I remember when Rose came through thinking I wasn't sure about him and that we should have been playing BAE but year by year he turned into a monster. He's dipped badly this year but he's still an amazing player. On the other hand Kyle Naughton just drifted into a nobody. How do we know which way KWP is going to go. What's the general thought about him? Is he considered to be a hot prospect? He seems a bit slight for me. Lacks the strength needed for that position. To be fair though, I've not seen much of him. Would like to see him get a game against Rochdale to see more of him. He's not a kid anymore. He's 20. Danny Rose was 17 I think when he was getting his first minutes with is.

I am with Thudd been saying Aurier is average ever since he joined.

It was against Brighton who were awful were i noticed Aurier does not have a future in the premier league. He kept getting turned and turned it never amounted to anything as brighton were so poor but it was silly to watch.

Southamptons goal was down to him with his bad positioning.

Gives away penalties with beyond rash challenges. The world and wife are screaming do not dive in do not dive in oh he has dived in. No footballing intelligence.

The west ham sending off.

His only good game was two assists from a mis hit shot that got turned in and auriers pass to eriksen that only went to eriksen because aurier slipped over!

Kwp has had one game at right back and won man of the match. He wont get it but deserves a chance there.

I dislike sissoko but i never want to see aurier in a tottenham shirt again same way i felt with fazio absoloute liabilty who costs the whole team.

I`ll reserve final judgement on Aurier until next season, if he has still not improved after a full pre season and some coaching from Poch, then we should be looking at replacing him.

Hopefully Poch can do for Aurier what he did for Rose.

But there is no doubt we are so much weaker at RB since Walker was sold, both Trippier and Aurier are not at Walker`s level.

Same Sissoko that you said would be better than Dembele, LLM?

LLM going missing in 5.... 4.... 3..,,

At this stage last season Walker was kept out the team by Trippier who performed much better than Walker given a consistent run. There in lies the problem this season.

No it wasn't.

He started playing more regularly as of mid-April last year, it wasn't because he was playing better but because Walker told Poch he wanted to leave in summer just before the FA Cup semi-final. A lot of revisionism here.

Well Walker being better than Trippier but us selling the former and keeping the latter is a problem tbh

KWP should start against rochdale, its a ideal opportunity for him wont come around again this season maybe never for him

Walker-Peters needs to go on loan.

We have two RBs who are desperate for games, and now Rose is fit he won't even get a game at LB.....not that he should be cutting his teeth there anyway.

Trippier is still not an elite RB for me, despite his improvement. There is a place there up for grabs goimg forward.

Aurier get judged next season for me. Knowing how well Poch does with fullbacks, and the raw material there to work with, I have hope for him

Is Rose fit?
Are you sure?
Same "fit" as Toby Alderwiereld, is it?
I hope you are right...... we need both of them back when Juve come to town.

I agree with the comments about the RB situation. Maybe give Aurier another chance?
