Even I'm happy with 6 and they were all well taken which is important.

This. If a footballer can’t pass the ball it doesn’t mean there’s something wrong with the ball. Same in this case with the ref and the system in place.

Exactly right

VAR works for American sports as there is natural stoppages and the same with Rugby and Cricket.

Whats even dumber is that it took 8 minutes out of the first half and only 5 extra were played.

Think they were embarrassed to add 8 but then who is making this decision. Why is someone judging that 5 is enough when 8 were lost. They should stop the clock.

I hate VAR. ruins the feel of a game totally. I'm prepared to accept marginally wrong decisions. If someones big toe is off side I accept that's almost impossible to be right every time. I do not want every off side assessed over and over to judge whether someon is literally 2 inches off side. If they want to be that precise take the offside decisions away from the linesman and have some hi tech hawk eye type thing deliver an instant decision... not have us all sit around waiting to see if a goal stands or not.

Just scrap it, it still doesnt solve the major issue that decisions are based on the individual making them's perception so we aren't going to get fairness across the board just a delayed game and the atmosphere being sucked out.

Don't need VAR. Referee just needs a video replay screen by the does nothing official so he can quickly check the controversial decisions such as off the ball incidents and what colour card to give.

VAR or no VAR, as long as matters of opinion are involved, we will always see subjective decisions being made.
