Good article mate, I shall be at the game on Saturday, and I do expect a good Spurs win, but nevertheless I have always liked Huddersfield. Probably a bit of nostalgia with me and my liking of football history, the 1920s and Huddersfield and their three league titles in a row, I remember Dennis Law playing for you, then the match shortly after he transferred to Man City where City were leading 6-2, Law scoring all six goals, I think it was against Luton, game was abandoned, and Luton won the game 3-1 when it was played again. Football does that to you sometimes.

Never seen too much of you I must admit, because when you were in the 1st division early 1970s, I was working abroad. My old fella though always said you were a bit of a bogey side to Spurs, and we always had trouble beating you in the 1920s, 30s, 40s, 50s, etc.

Good read LV and I couldn’t see any hidden messages this time πŸ˜‚ Mind you they could be well hidden.

I’m hoping Spurs have their minds on other things with no one wanting to get injured or sent off. Fingers crossed anyway.

I’m going for my usual 2-1 to us with Mounie and Ince the scorers but I would be more than happy with a 1-1 or even 0-0. I really hope we get something from this and everyone below us loses. I can but hope 😊

5 ⭐️ from me by the way.

Yes, the weather, We'll have to wait & see.
An aside to the thread, The dozy 'FA'.
All that money & contractual merry go round with Multi-plex the stadium builders, Yet..the roof doesn't have the option of enclosing the stadium ? What a Joke.
An utter waste of money where by the 'ends' can be covered ? er.... Every new built stadium built in the last 20or 30 years has covered spectator areas.

The game.
Town started well at the John Smiths last time out,
But the inevitable 'Grobalaar-Lossl' goof Handed Spurs the opening goal on a plate.
Merchant steam ship Jorgensen was later woefully exposed & Kane is from the pitch near the end.
We've suffered similar capitulations v Arsenholes,
Cheldzki, & Wet Spam.. Where Town simply didn't turn up.
The side are capable of way better than that - as an example, beating Man you Knighted. Giving Towel head City the fright of their lives & just battered the 'at the time' Form team Bournemouth.
Town can do it, yet, we just don't know which version is going to turn up on the day.

Me, My opinion, I don't think Wagner is going to lose any sleep over this fixture. !
I'd say he's already consigned this game into the 'non applicable' category & will rotate & rest unfortunately.
As a survival strategy I'm guessing he's going to fully focus on the next three fixtures which i'd say are 3 monumental cup ties in the scheme of things. being:-
Swansea, Palace & Newcastle !!! From OUR point of view, Three season defining fixtures right there that we realistically have to come out of with an advantageous points haul over those very same rivals..
That i'd say would see us 'safe' in relative terms.

On Saturday, I'd like to see Town push up & apply pressure, Witness lots of effort & a will to do well - Much like Rochdale did.
But I suspect I'll be disappointed in that regard come the final whistle,

Predictably Pritchard will create, Hogg will more than likely be the most industrious player on the pitch,
You'll see fine overlapping play from Hadergjonaj, Kongolo too will contribute more than simply being a defender.. Alas, I can't see a goal.

Our only hope of 'points'..If Potch also decides the Juve clash is of such importance, he decides not to risk 'The Stars' & we can ruffle a makeshift Spurs line up.

Darn's prediction,
2, Maybe 3-0, And unless the Ref makes allowances for the conditions, Lots of for minor, accidental knocks...because the game at ours was far from 'dirty'...quite the opposite,
Snow, Slush & Sleet can be a double edged sword for any side.

Hi chaps, good read lv and nice to see some decent away/home fans comments too.

We'll get bummed over 5-1!

Had a 2wat of day, first day back (had 8 days off) dropped my phone (note 8) all protected, case screen protector etc. Picked it up not a mark, phew! Nope ten minutes later, the screen goes green and flickers like a bastud!

So it's gone in for repair, I'm using an £80 argos special and its doing my head in!

Any road, needed to vent. Come on town!

There’s a danger we have one eye on Juventus and drop points at the weekend

It will be interesting to see how Poch lines up as I can see him resting Dembele, Verts and possibly Kane this weekend to ensure they are fully fit for midweek CL.

Absolutely not. Full first team

Anyone know why Pritchard was sold by Spurs? He looked like a right prospect. Was equally mystified when Holtby went after a superb pre season.

I like Huddersfield. But I think they're in for a good hard spanking this weekend.

Would like to see:

Lloris
Trips Sanchez Vert Davies
Dembele Dier
Moura Lamela Eriksen
Kane

Alli still in need of a good benching.

Agree about Alli Ginge
The Theatricals have to stop, He's shiite at it anyway

The TOWN line up to negate the 'spanking'
Lossl,
Hadergjonaj, Schindler. Kongolo.
Williams, Hogg- capt. Pritchard, Ince.
Quaner, Mounie, Mooy.

Our problem all season long. Poor supply to the target man, be it Mounie or Depoitre.
Mooy is outstanding playing high, cutting in with through balls or shots at goal.
Pritchard and Hogg would get the ball through to the front men.

It won't eventuate, But that's my theory,

Alli needs more than benching! 10K fine every dive he makes. Isn’t that a Police track?

That's WBA gone. The wheels have come off.
Two drop spots left to be sorted out.

Palace & Stoke ? Maybe even West Ham going on current form,

KB could be controversial I recall, he’s a Leeds fan Darn!

Southampton are in bad shape too Darn. If Town can get a point from the Spurs match, it will be MASSIVE!

Controversial, Much like yourself then
But being serious, He was never antagonistic or rude, There is a difference.

Current form, Last 5 played, & points gained. =
In Order of points gained,
Swansea, 10pts. WWDWL
Town, 6pts, LLLWW
New Utd, 6pts, LDDWD
Saints, 6pts, DDWLD
Stoke, 6pts, WDLDD
West Ham, 5pts, DDLWL
Palace, 2pts, LDDLL
WBA, 1pt, DLLLL

Very tightly contested,

A point from Wembley this aft' will be more than welcome. As is, I can't see it.
All I want & expect, Is that we give it a go, & perform like we did against Man City, Man United & the previous two games, And not go out, Set up to relinquish the whole field like we did against Chelsea, Arsenal & West Ham.

posted on 3/3/18

btw...

Again current form,
After Man City, WWDWW =13 from 15 !
Guess who's 2nd on the last 5 played..
SPURS , undefeated, DWDWW, 11 from 15.

A point for TOWN would be Monumental,
