It's one thing to support your club when they're bad with no obvious avenue to get better. The problem is Arsenal (where I can sympathise with their fans) is they should be SO much more than they are right now.
The idea that fans should get behind a team, like it's their job, has never sat well with me. Stripping away all the emotion that comes with following a club, a fan is a paying customer that at the very least deserves to see some fight from their club. If the club can't be bothered (and many individuals within Arsenal F.C. can't be bothered) why should the fans?
The disillusioned Arsenal fans have every right to be. All they're doing is holding themselves to a higher standard than the club are, a standard that is easily acheivable with the resources Arsenal have.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah because no other team has gone through bad patches, not Man U, not Spurs not Liverpool and not Chelsea when they finished 10th. Only Arsenal are above that right? How dare Arsenal not win every game, they should be scrutinized and blamed for global warming and descend into a social media meltdown if they do not win every single cup final!!
I want Arsenal to win everything. the difference is I'm mature enough to know we don't have the divine right to win everything! Thats the difference

Did you just compare supporting a football team to poor health and supporting the body? Haha this proves my point perfectly, with people like you supporting Arsenal its no wonder you cry like a baby when you don't win because its as serious as having cancer right? How old are you 12?
--------------------
You must be quite thick if you don't understand the concept of an analogy.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
You must be even more thick if you don't understand that the point it is, its quite a sh*t analogy?
Arsene, is that you? I disagree with practically every point you’ve made in this op.
No you just have terrible comprehension skills and can't seem to get your head round the fact that Arsenal fans think their club should be doing better given their relatively bountiful resources, rather than your simplistic caricature of them as short-termist reactionaries.
"I'm mature enough to know we don't have the divine right to win everything!" you claim. Yet not mature enough to understand that Arsenal fans don't expect to win everything, merely to compete at a level befitting of their stature. 6th richest club in the world yet made to look like relegation battlers on a regular basis against fellow top teams. Maybe deep-down you do actually realise this, and going against the grain is simply your way of getting an ego boost out of displaying your extra "maturity".
talkSPORT have a wall to wall Arsenal bashing campaign. Every pundit has a dig, especially Adrian Durham. However I am most disappointed by the fickle so called Arsenal fans who ring the station to air their dirty laundry in public.
Oh ffs. The reason why Arsenal are so talked abt is because we are such a large club. In economics, in support and most importantly historically. Of course fans are going to complain publicly. Just like Man Utd fans did with Moyes, boring van gaal etc. When the only explanation Wenger can give is that we have to be loyal to him because he didn't go to Real Madrid when he was popular shows he is mentally gone. He has no idea what's happening to the team. Arsenal are rudderless. Time for Gazidis to step up.

You've either completely missed the point or you're on the WUM.
Listen I don't ultimately care, I'm a Chelsea fan, but if I was an Arsenal fan I'd be seriously disillusioned right now. It's not that your not winning everything, it's that you show no desire as a club to win everything, big difference. Say what you will about the Chelsea hierarchy (almost all of it will be true) but when we feel like we're falling behind we make ruthless decisions to insure that doesn't happen.
By not even entertaining the thought of sacking Wenger, not competing in the transfer market (until recently) your board are effectively saying, "We're OK with being behind Chelsea, United, Spurs, Liverpool" (all the clubs you mentioned). If you're happy with that more power to you. I wouldn't be.

"I want Arsenal to win everything. the difference is I'm mature enough to know we don't have the divine right to win everything! Thats the difference"
Part of the general feeling of disillusionment is even more basic than winning - it's CHALLENGING. I would sooner we took the title challenge to the last day of the season and finished second after going down fighting rather than win an FA Cup. Just giving the fans something to cheer about and hope for right to the end of the league season is something to feel proud of. But we haven't challenged in years and don't look likely to be about to start - that's the real issue.

So how do you explain Liverpool not getting ridiculed every time they lose a game or for not winning a trophy 6 years and counting now. They are as big if not a bigger club are they not? I pointed this out in the article yet you are repeating the same non-sense.

I see that the delusion of thinking Arsenal are going to become the Giant of the footballing world and win everything once Arsene goes, has set in too deep for any of you to think rationally. So I will leave you all to it.
It will be pretty funny to see the state of this board when Arsene goes and we are still getting spanked by the billion pound teams. I wonder what brilliant solutions you armchair managers will come up with then...lol

Do you think Arsenal fans who want Wenger out hate Arsenal and want us to fail?
Answer is: yes.
If we're assuming there are people on this board who hate Arsenal then those who still want Wenger hate us far more. Why would an Arsenal fan want this dinosaur to keep dragging us down the table playing dire football?
I understand some people don't like change but come on ffs, we could not be much worse with the amount we spend on wages, transfers etc. We're a shambles, 7 defeats in 2018 is more than even WBA ffs. AKBs are unbelievable.
