It’s not about ambition. It’s about Internationally identity and pride. The lad considers himself Scottish and well done him for choosing to represent the country he feels pride in and recognizes as his own. It would be easy to put career and “ambition” before identity. But the lad went with his heart; the country of his fathers birth

I am English and if I got the choice id play for Scotland too, why would anyone want to play for England? Awful management, bigged up and shot down at every major tournament.

He has more chance to feature for Scotland under nowhere near the same levels of stick
