Because other teams are that little bit better than us mate. Tonight wasn't the last hurdle either

Could be worse, this is Arsenal this season.

No need to apologise for being negative Don, i think it's how most of us feel.

We missed to many opportunities to deserve to go through and until spurs prove me wrong I'm still gonna have that little voice in my head telling me we are going to bottle it when it really matters.

It's over now and hopefully a hard lesson learnt, full steam ahead for the fa cup and secure a top four place.

Experience in the CL is huge. Can't really say much as an Arsenal fan as we had 20 odd seasons to learn it and we didn't, it just seems these big teams really know how to play these two-legged ties.

They don't waver even when the other team is beating them to every ball, just wait and wait and they know the chances will come.

English teams just try to out-run the opponents too often and eventually make a mistake

But tired that. You’re better than this robbing.

Also it's a bit much calling the first knockout round the 'last hurdle'

Must admit, I don’t think I’ve ever seen elimination from the last 16 described as falling at the final hurdle.

We had them beat.
They had to score 2 to stay in it.
And we gave the damn game away.
I blame our two wing backs.
Just not good enough for this level.

May have had a shandy.

In reality it was a loss by the odd goal against a good Juve side who had some big names back. A bit of a lack of experience too in that if you really, really want to you don't concede two in three minutes, just two bank it with a low block for 10 mins, but it's fine margins. Woodwork, penalties, goals, it was a good tie.

Spurs were the better side over the tie, no question about that. Juventus bossed 10 minutes of the first leg, and five minutes of the second, the rest of the tie belonged to Spurs, but it happens sometimes where the better side doesn't always win. That's football.

Just hope Poch has in depth post mortem and identifies the weak areas which cost us tonight. For me Davies and Dier, maybe Trippier too for areas of improvment.

Even though Davies has been solid all season he switched off and cost us big time. Its these type of games where we learn the most about our players.

Maybe he means last hurdle as in they had the tie under control until the last part but then blew it.

Kim jong Wenger, thank you. Someone that actually gets it. I do actually know that the last 16 is not the final ffs when I say last hurdle, I mean always that extra bit to push us on further to win us something and last night whilst we were much the better side, we were on the losing side once again and have failed to progress Like we do every season
