Spot on. I had a full can of beer thrown at my head outside PP in the 00’s. Managed to dodge and miss it thankfully. I don’t blame every Derby fan for what happened then.

A full can, certainly can't be blamed for that.

I would just like to point out too that the OP for this thread is as guilty as anyone for ratcheting up the tension of the game with the childish tone of their write up. If we are going to root out the idiots from our game we really should be rising above it all a little. Agreed?

Which bit? Opinions when backed up by personal experiences - and I write from personal experiences - are mine to put forward and for you to claim that it is being ratcheted up on a message board with some sanctimonious posting about 'rising above it' really tempts me to believe that you secretly condone these actions. We get idiots on both sides but save it for your 'turf' or pub or manor and not deliberately target the soft underbelly of kids, girls and dads

UTRams Bro
I'll admit to being old-school at times, and no doubt some will call me a Neanderthal or worse, but these tails of being hit by coins make me smile ruefully. Having been a teenager and a Trent Ender during the period of the worst football violence I could tell much worse tails; one of which required hospital treatment at the Newcastle RVI. At one point miners' helmets and other types of hard hats were worn at matches until the authorities decided they too (like metal combs) were in fact 'weapons'. How does yesterday's crowd trouble at the Olympic Stadium compare too our cup tie at Newcastle, or Heysel.
Obviously it would be preferable if the coin throwing could be eradicated but that is highly unlikely to happen. My advice would be to get over it and stop taking young children to such volatile games.

In the words of a distinguished 606 poster " you disgust me"
And yes, I have been in such situations as you describe.
Well you no what Redfor, fair play for having the gonads to admit that.
But to discourage persons from taking their kids to a football match because of previous disgusting behaviour, suck my plums.
We are Derby.
Redfor50yrs sounds like the kind of person who would say “We used to string up black people so a little bit of racism these days isn’t that much to fuss about, people should just get over it”.

I don’t agree with Redfor50yrs suggestion about not taking kids but to liken him to a racist feels a bit harsh Vidal.
View - I must admit I read your original thread and thought some of it was unnecessary and inflammatory. No doubt whatsoever that you’ve had bad experiences at Forest games and some absolute t***s have behaved disgracefully towards your family. I’ve got three daughters and if something similar happened I’d feel the same. But you also know it’s a minority and most football fans from all clubs are just decent normal people. Why tar everyone with same brush? Is anyone actually defending the actions of these idiots? Or are people put out because you’re suggesting all Forest fans are as bad? I had a horrible experience at Molineaux many years ago with disgusting racist language but I know it was a few idiots and not widespread. I appreciate its your opinion to put forward but don’t be surprised when people take offence and react.
Caniggia, just pointing out the poverty of an argument that tries to defend the indefensible by saying that something even worse happened once upon a time.
Let's leave it at that lads.
This crap happens every game, so better it only comes around twice as season.
Little to brag about for either of us.
Was surprised the ease our back 4 had today though.
We go again, hopefully forest can do us a few favours.

Think you have got he wrong, View. I’m clearly not the only one who think you were going OTT. There is clearly no point trying to put a constructive argument across as you’re views are well entrenched.
I can't get excited about the incidents off the pitch as wrong as it is, it has happened many times before and will happen many times again.
Back to the game.
Derby were very cynical in pushing the rules of what is acceptable. The ref should have got hold of the game earlier; it must be a plan of Rowett to try and emulate Warnock teams by being very cheaty.
Saying that, Huddlestone looked a class above this league.
Fox was excellent today and his new roll as CB is suiting him, Tobias next to him was also very good.
Tomlin was good as were the copperknobs in the middle. The rest were average.
It's a bit rubbish we couldn't muster much in front of goal, but Aitor's first job was stopping us from losing and on that, 10/10.
Not one to live long in the memories.
Derby:Very cheaty?? The ref must have been on your payroll FFS!
The pushing of Tomlin and Brereton from your defence was almost comical.
Not sure if you were there, Baz but if you were not, I'm guessing the TV didn't capture it.
Huddlestone could, and should, have been booked on two occasions prior to his first booking.

Do they have some sort of fat cheat factory in Nottingham? Maybe the owner wants to build a team in his own image. Has Fatos had his trial for match-fixing yet?
There's no wonder Derby are on the slide!
If Rowett has not lost the plot he must be very close to doing so. His post-match interview was a masterclass in self-delusion; his defence of Huddlestone was laughable, completely ignoring the fact that he could, and should, have been booked on two occasions prior to his first booking.
He condoned the dive that Lawrence was booked for and then blamed Tomlin for diving every time one of his players kicked him.
The mad rant about every referee being against them and us having nothing to play for was the most entertaining bit.
Clough used to say that when things started to go against you, you circle the waggons and its siege mentality time; Rowett obviously thinks playing the victim is the best course.
He is going to struggle to keep things together based on that performance!
If there is anyone giving a masterclass in self-delusion, it's yourself Strett. It sounds as though Forest fans are still a bit bitter about Rowett blowing the raspberry at them when they offered him the job there.
True colours shown again as they have flares set off, and pitch invasion after managing a 0-0 draw in their cup final.
