What's terrifying is there's a very slight chance it could happen. Roman reportedly likes him (10-15 years ago but still), and I'm sure in his own twisted ideology he'll feel like he'd be getting one over Arsenal if they sack him. I could visualize that happening more than Rodgers.
If they wound up with Allegri (or worse Conte) and we got Wenger I might actually cry.
And if the director of football keeps on buying good defensive midfield and proper defenders don't you guys think he's a match made in heaven fur Chelsea
----------------------------------------------------------------
Won't make a difference if we bought him an All Star XI. He can't coach players anymore. The last player too flourish under his leadership was RVP, and Ferguson still got even more out of him.
This would be the funniest managerial move ever. This has to happen...
It won't happen Devil, even if god for bid Roman likes the idea in theory, Wenger's far too much of a power hungry narcissistic to get past the application stage (he makes Mourinho and Conte look like Ancelotti and Ranieri on that score).

There was a time when Wenger was 2nd on Roman's dream shortlist only behind Guardiola. Now that Guardiola has got a rival playing the type of football he wanted from us, it really isn't inconceivable to think if Wenger became available he'd make this irrational, boneheaded decision.
And it's even more believable to think Wenger would accept it even in a 'first team coach' capacity. He seems to be under some warped impression Arsenal owe him (kind of like Jose with us), if they sack him you have to assume he'll jump at a chance to manage us (1) because no-one else would be stupid enough to go for him, and (2) to p!ss them off... and be too narcissistic to realize they'll be laughing their @rses off
Wenger would never manage Chelsea. He loathes them.
If Arsenal sack him he'd manage Spurs if they offered it to him. He's clinging on, he'll take any job that'll allow him to keep him clinging on. Believe that.
Would he fack. If he’s sacked he’ll retire, go to France or Asia. There is no chance he’d manage another premier league club.
When you're solely responsible for polarizing a fanbase to the point of weekly protests and you happily sign a new deal, that's a pretty obvious indication you could care less about the club you're managing. The notion he'd avoid the PL out of loyalty to Arsenal I'm not buying, he thinks they owe him not the other way round.
He’s just facking delusional and still thinks he’s the best man for the job. He loves Arsenal and hates Chelsea. More chance of Mourinho going back than Wenger ever going there.
I would just drop football from my life entirely....
Some people actually amaze me. What a strange article

Wenger would demand the Kim Jong Un like grip he has on Arsenal with no room for negotiating, Roman wouldn't have stood for that with prime Wenger let alone this one.
You are right about Arsenal fans laughing at us tho, imagine DT's video
This simply won't happen. It's bollox.

And Troopz. Those two p!ssing themselves for months would be the only highlight of it happening... and I mean the ONLY highlight.
