Sky interview dropped the hint ,have you offered your resignation yet?
As in ,why not ?

Carragher's RESIGNED........to the fact that he will get a lot of abuse when he returns to work for Sky.

Footballers don't get sacked for spitting. Surarez biting doesn't even get a prison sentence yet alone the boot. Not saying Carra shouldn't be sacked, but what makes players immune to crime?

I'm actually a little gutted about this. He was a pain in the asre as a player but as a pundit he's brilliant. I just can't see how they can allow him back on. Spitting at a family. Just take that in. Spitting at a family. There's no way he's getting back on. Not a chance.

If he had killed the child's parents first then technically he'd just be spitting at an orphan. Which wouldn't be as bad as spitting at a family.

At the same time though, he's still a footballer. It's difficult to mould someone who's lived a streetwise life into the perfect upstanding citizen you'd associate with privilege. They need to take it into account. Would you expect Jacob Reese Mogg to be able to muck in down the boozer with the lads?

He should've bit her in fairness, it's more polite. Quite endearing actually.

Gary Neville
I’ve just watched Carra23 say sorry. No excuses he’s made a big mistake . He’s massively passionate about football and he’s overstepped the mark and shouldn’t have reacted . I’ve been on TV for 3 years with him and imo this isolated incident shouldn’t stop us working together

As long as Gary says it's fine, we can all pack up and go home. Story over!

Just seen a picture of Gerrard and Carra together with the caption ‘Slippy G and Spitty C’.

So immature, but made me laugh

Haha, you couldn't make this up. Drink-driver Tony Adams has his say...

You'd think Spurs fans would double check after all the abuse they gave Sir Chris Hoy

Carragher and Neville have great on screen chemistry

Carragher used to bug me at first but over the last year think he has really improved as a pundit and he actually gives his own opinions as opposed to the typical cliched trash that Redknapp and Henry speak

Would hate to see Sky sack him. He fking spat on someone, so what? Disgusting and should receive a huge fine but no more than that. West Ham player Masuaku spat on somebody recently and nobody was clamoring for him to be sacked. Flanagan hit up his girlfriend and he still has a contract with Liverpool. Suarez racially abused and ate everybody he could see and it earned him a move to Barcelona. Why should Carragher be the fall guy?

He does seem a bit of a bell.

Can remember years ago, like late nineties being at the Matthews street festival and he was all alone in a bar absolutely shat faced with about five foot of room all around him, nobody wanted anything to do with him
