King Of The Kickboxers?

Sounds like Mortal Kombat (1995) or Street Fighter (1994) to me

Mortal Kombat's main bad guy kills the protagonist's brother in the first scene and he enters the Mortal Kombat tournament to seek revenge. He is trained by the dude (Raiden) who trained his bro.

The antagonist isn't black, but wears black? They also have a final duel in some sort of weird arena/potentially a cage at the end, but I'm not sure about the cage part. There are a few black characters, from memory.

I really doubt it is this, as you would have remembered all of the fantasy elements much more vividly; but it is quite similar (as is street fighter as I think some dude kills Ryu's dad at the start and then he trains...final duel...all that jazz. It's a pretty typical martial arts/vengeance type story line, really).

It also sounds like the film the Wu Tang Clan took their inspiration from - Shaolin vs Wu Tang

Its not that old has the guy who played Spawn. Its a spoof black exploitation film about a black dude who is a Kung Fu beast ...... All I will say is "Donuts dont wear alligator shoes !".......
