Our heritage has proven to be s double edged sword.
I have nothing but thanks to Don for what he has given us.
But these owners milk it, they throw in an MOT at end of a sentence, talk about this great club etc when someone else has made that history and they are just parasitic passengers.

But cost us at least 3 honours
We were too successful for our own good. Fixture pile ups and the inflexible FA cost us big time. I remember them playing in the FACup final then the European Cup a few days later.
Chelsea kicked Gray off the park at Wembley and David Ellery said a few years back that he would have sent off at least six players in that brutal game.
By the Wednesday we had to try and recover to play the second leg of the EC at Celtic. We lost 2-1 and went out. Then it was back to the league and the FACup replay. We’d already had a replay in the semi against Manu.
Ended up with nothing when the treble was a possibility.
Tough times with a small squad.

Look at that fixture list in March! Disgraceful to expect a team to recover from that!
Whilst I don't subscribe to the theory that the authorities have it in for Leeds, I do believe that certain members of the FA hated Leeds during the Revie era. Why else were we forced to play the 1971/72 title decider on the Monday, two days after winning the FA Cup final?
I've been slowly making an image of The Don over the last month or so, it's made up of 200 leeds players faces

Without Don's legacy - a few on here especially non Leeds born, wouldn't be fans.
Some of the decisions that went against us were just downright bizarre- the WBA one that cost us dearly, Jeff Astle where he was miles offside still rankles after all these years - watch it on YouTube if you can stand the pain.
Love Don more than anything to do with Leeds and could go into depth about decisions that cost us trophies both on and off the pitch, what would today’s managers say about having to play a champions league semi final (Celtic) on a Wednesday and a vital league away game (West Ham) the next day, said it before Don just didn’t build a team he built a city,
Great job there Rawdon, reminds me of this, of which I have a copy

Cheers Jonty, did you see my periodic table up there too? I thought I'd try use the faces for different stuff seeing as I'd done them all 😂 I never realised that parody had been done already, but mine has some sweet hairdos in it.

Some common inspiration there perhaps.
