The worst inclusion is Joe Hart. The guy has been crap for 2 seasons, including at the last tournament, but still gets a place and will more than likely be our first choice keeper again.

First point... there are rarely top class international managers. Even the German world cup winning manager would struggle to get a decent premier league club. That's why I fancy Belgium so much, they have a brave manager with a strong philosophy plus a great squad.

Second point... what do you expect from England? Loads of players have pulled out and we're just not that good!

Third point... bringing in players that are too young may not be a good idea. I'd say let him develop and his cap will come in its own time. Unless he decides to take him in the summer in which case I completely agree with you!

3 goal Welbeck gets in the team too. If we're going for players who can be as poor as they like in the league, because they half decent records for England, why don't we just re-pick Crouch?

In Southgates defence, you can't start playing around with a world cup squad in the lead up to the world cup. The players that played in the qualifiers should make up the majority ofnthe squad should make up most of the squad plus 3 or 4 "newcomers". The point of these games is surely to continue some cohesion ready for TEAM to be ready for the world cup. Any new players should really be brought in ready for the euro qualifiers.

It winds me up how everyone always lists 7 or 8 players that should be brought in, when the squad has worked together for 2 years in the run up.

However, I agree that Hart should not be starting.

Dig him out for not picking Ryan Sessegnon but also dig him out for picking Lewis Cook, the youngster who did so well for England in the summer and is playing regular PL football?

International managers don't get a lot of time with players, so tend to have some they trust and who they see as good influences in the squad. If Southgate sees Hart as a key man in the squad off the pitch then I see why he would have him. The other keepers are young and very inexperienced. Having Hart as #3 for the World Cup makes sense.

Anyway Rose has been garbage this season and Bertrand not much better.

If you can’t see the form of young warrant the call up then no point carry on with this

Young is alright but Livermore? Absolute joke, part of a terrible WBA team set to go down yet makes the England squad regularly. He's not even a young prospect, I'm sure there are players in league 1 that would be more inspiring.

What’s the alternative to Livermore though? Especially as you’ve already moaned about Cook who is a decent up and coming player?
