well its always going to be in doubt now....but they hammered us so....

Atleast Now Joe root, Williamson and kohli should not be compared to smith. The other 3 are not labelled cheats. Also can clearly see why smith scored plenty of runs. The other bowlers don’t get as much reverse swing as the Aussie bowlers 😂😂😂.

Definitely not the first time like Smith is claiming it is.

Broad said why have they changed whatever worked so well during the Ashes? Aussies are best at getting reverse swing in unhelpful conditions.

Given how they have played on this series, not even sure this Aussie team is this good. SA who have their own weaknesses with many of the seniors struggling for while have made Australia look quite ordinary.

1 match ban is a total farce. The Pakistan players got 5 years I think for spot fixing, Aus players deserve a ban a lot closer to that, it's worse in some ways than spot fixing as they're trying to cheat the outcome of the whole match.

Can see a big shake up in the Aussie team. It casts doubt on the Ashes win.

The use of ‘leadership’ group means surely Leahman is out if work too.

I've nothing more to say on the cricket section if people are bringing the colour of peoples skin into the debate. Shame on you.

I never intended any harm or have any negative feelings towards anyone. I just agreed with Grande’s opinion that ICC is not a just or a capable organization to make right decisions. All in all, they are very incompetent and not balanced in their decisions, punishment & justice for sure! 👍

It's so dumb as well, cheating is bad in general but just looking at it from a game point of view what is the actual point in cheating in such a pointless game

Australia "hey lets tamper with the ball with loads of cameras around"

ICC have issued the maximum punishment to Smith, one test and a full match fee, pathetic!

Just read Warners quote after the Du Plessis got caught ball tampering

"The rules are in place for a reason. If you're not going to use them why bother having them?

"If you're going to overstep the mark, be prepared to get fined and miss Test matches."

Oh how words can come to bite you on your backside

As aggers said, the aussies are like that naughty kid at school who always broke the rules, but told on you if you broke the rules.

Think this will go on, would guess all bowlers are in on this decision team.

Wouldn’t be surprised if CA gave Smith a long ban.

I do find it funny because the Aussies are always giving other advise on how to play fairly and now they are caught.

But I don't really see the big deal. Which team haven't been caught ball tampering at some point? It's been going on for years and it's time people accept it. Every time a rule come out to stop it, teams find a new way of tampering.

It is wrong yes and it should be eradicated but if someone gets caught, I'm not going to act like they are the first people ever to do it.

30 cameras!

They are so arrogant and have thrown the young lad under a bus to protect the larger group.

It was funny seeing Bancroft put sugar in his pocket at the ashes
I only have a little sympathy for him he is a grown man after all.
Yes ball tampering is nothing new but Australia are getting what they deserve. The hypocrites!

You're the 'leadership group' hung the young one out to dry...despicable

This is just the first time they have been caught, no chance it is the first time they have done it though.

I thought Smith`s grovelling apology was quite dismissive, it was as if he was saying sorry and sweeping it all under the carpet before swiftly trying to move on.

If he didn`t realize to full seriousness of all this before, he will now.

Just true. What kind of argument is that, murder and robbery have been going on since time immemorial, but we still don't condone it. Cheating isn't just unsporting, it wins you money you don't deserve. Just because others have done it before you doesn't make it right.

why was my comment removed

seems like freedom of opinon is no longer allowed in here.

double standards then again what do you expect in this "white mans world"

delete this comment i dare you

you bunch of racists.

cheating is cheating regardless of your skin colour

my point is simple

give the white man the same "punishment" you gave to the non white man whether that non white man is pakistani or indian or sri lankan or afghanistani or west indian or zimbabwean or orthodox jew etc.

the issue here is EQUALITY.

this coverage of "ball tampering" was NOWEHERE near close to the "spot-fixing" scandal of 2010.

1 match BAN - is a slap on the wrst.
its a slap on every non white cricket fan and players etc

Real Justice = the ENTIRE australian cricket team banned for FIVE YEARS.
