To think when I met that barsteward I complimented him on what a good job he was doing. How does £7M disappear and nobody notice? That is a significant amount of our turnover.

Mmmmmmm... Daily Mail
But thanks Rameses 👍
From the same article.
"In Wednesday's report, Derby will also make the incredible admission that they falsified attendance figures while Rush was in charge, saying: ‘The average attendance for Sky Bet Championship games at Pride Park Stadium was 27,885 and not the previously reported figure of 29,085.’
"This season attendances have dropped to an average just below 27,000 and in recent months the club have been keen to point out that the drop is not as drastic as might appear."
WTF!!!

Did you know Strett and were keeping it from us?
Thought I get it out there before you lot did Will. Go ahead make hay.
Derby in attendance lie, shocker!!!
Getting numbers wrong or selling drugs?
Strett or that scrote at the school gates?
Lied about the reason for calling a game off, lied about attendances. Now the revelation that their players aren’t worth what they paid for them.
Is that also a lie because FFP is coming? There is form now.
Wow. What a mess!!
Glad Forest is being run well.
Did not lie about the reason for calling the game off. We always knew Butterfield, Johnson, Bent etc weren't worth what we paid for them.
There is a difference between Forest and Derby. Derby are attempting to clear up the mess made by a senior employee. Forest have welcomed with open arms an alleged criminal. The difference will show when Forest go out of business.
Uncle Bob Maxwell, th 3 Amigos and now this!!
What is it with Derby attracting the less savoury elements.
The supporters seem generally OK and it’s those I feel sorry for.

Yeah, I’ll second that.
Difference is this is all a matter of fact whereas the allegations against Marinakis are just that at this stage and there is more than an even chance they will be dismissed like the other spurious allegations that have been made against him.
The Forest owner is a philanthropist. He wanted to bring in free heroin for the fans to take away the pain of watching a Karanka team.
Mad Mel might regret taking Rush on. He is unlikely to win outright in court after losing the unfair dismissal case, I imagine. It is a whole load of negative press at precisely the wrong time of the season with the crunch period for the play off hopefuls starting this weekend.

Old Will, sticking up for a drug smuggler with allegations of match fixing that have been cleared in anticipation of the bigger charges.......
The simpler solution could be that Sam Rush ain’t that good with figures in a Dianne Abbott kind of way...
It was GSE who appointed Sam Rush. Mel inherited Rush when he took over the club.
The reason the unfair dismissal charge was dismissed is that Mel didn't follow club procedure. Mel is very Trump like when it comes to firing staff. I hope he learned his lesson.
I still don't think Mel is under suspicion of drug smuggling, match fixing, money laundering or blowing up a bakery. We leave that sort of thing to clubs with a lower threshold of what is acceptable behaviour.

Well without the Rush overspend we appear to be doing OK. Wondering how the attendance figures could have been manipulated as it all computerised.

I'm just grateful that Strett managed to drag himself away from Wales Online for long enough to give us his latest considered thoughts.
