Well done Williams.
Getting that Chinese snooker on the yellow was his slice of luck in that frame
----------------------------------------------------------------------
he's had the run of the balls throughout the final imo
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Fack off Higgins has had God mode installed in him for the last 10 frames. Most people are lucky to have that for 1 or 2 frames never mind 10.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don’t recall 3 outrages flukes like Mark did which won him frames and/or put him in commanding positions.
Anyway we’ll played Mark he pulled it out at the right times tonight.
love snooker man such a respectful nice polite fun friendly and family sport
Oh yeh williams has to go naked don't he hahahahahahaha
Got a lot of bottle Williams lot of players would of wilted. Even just the way he's done it, long game after long game after long game, doesn't do it the easy way that's for sure! Fully deserved, well done champ
Seriously the likes of Ronnie, Mark and John are going to be sorely missed when they retire.

Doesn't help there's nobody else that's really likeable either coming through, don't like any of Selby, Trump or Neil Robertson

So happy for Mark Williams, he has been amazing this season and always deserved more than 2 world titles. Both players played well, to all the people that say the World Championship is too long, look at Mark Williams, 43 years old, 17-15 in the semi and 18-16 in the final.

Not really a proper final if it finishes before midnight. Still long for the days of Dott & Ebdon. Maybe they can make a comeback too.

Two boring cuuunts. No thanks.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Please no.
Or not Mark Selby who makes every shot as if its a one off drama in itself.
When you have 3 standout players like Higgins, Williams and Ronnie, they are always going to be missed, difficult to emulate, when they do eventually retire. But the game moves on - there's probably some teenager/s who will become the next starts in the next 5 years that we don't even know of.

Yan Bingtao I feel could be a rising star in next few years.
Agreed, so few youngsters these days have stepped up.
Tennis, football, snooker already mentioned, cricket too. I don’t see bowlers like Warne, Murali, McGrath, Wasim, Waqar, Ambrose Marshall anymore or batsmen like Ponting, Tendulkar, Lara, Viv or allrounders Botham, Imran, Kapil, Hadlee, Gilchrist.
After all these years Bolt dominated sprinting and only Gatlin beat him in the end, someone older. Mayweather in boxing didn’t look close to being beaten even in late 30s.
Players like Kyren, Hawkins, Trump just from their body language, you just never felt they truly believed they could win. Judd was better when he was younger and fearless, but even then he gave away a decent lead in the 2011 final.
Ding’s capitulation was quite frankly embarrassing, really wanted him to win this year and he didn’t even make a match of it and that was just the quarters.
Still think Judd and Ding can win, but they really disappointed me this year.
Ronnie will win another world title
