His injury while at Wolves was very damaging to his career. He was doing well there. The whole "Dench" thing overtook his football then and he never got back.
He probably never will. Sounds like the social media thing is still a big part of who he is. Not that that's really a problem but it can be distracting from the football... which he isn't the best at anyway.
Definitely took away from his football, doubt managers took him seriously - hence his travels around looking for games.
He could have been a Decent mid-lower prem player. That injury really didn’t help, but he obviously lacks the focus to make it at a good level

Well, he's made it elsewhere and isn't complaining about his career so far so not sure what the point you're trying to make is...
Just before we got mauled 8-2 by Man U he was our best midfielder (Nasri was leaving). Then he got a silly second yellow for wrestling the ball away in a throw-in incident vs Liverpool. That's how low we had sunk at Arsenal - our best midfielder!
It’s a pretty obvious point I’m making. He could have made it higher than playing in the Cypriot league! He looked promising on loan at Wolves, not too out of his depth. But seems to have drifted away due to bad injury and being more interested in this outside football
We played together for 2 or 3 years - what made him stand out was his physical presence. He towered over just about everyone and could out muscle players too.
I think at that stage in football it's easy to stand out without the technical ability and 'footballing brain' and that probably caught up with him at the highest level.
He wasn't the smartest or most calculated person which shows in that tweet of his and general behaviour sometimes but he never meant wrong to anyone.
Similarly with Nile Ranger and a few others - they needed someone who could keep them in check and focused on being professional.

He's pretty average. Cypriot League, Championship, Division 1... much of a muchness.
Does anyone actually like Nasri? Another player gone to waste.
Frimpong could've been a decent player for sure. You look at someone like Fabrice Muamba before his retirement, could've definitely been at that sort of level.
Interesting that only Wilshere and Coquelin were able to play consistent first team football from that promising FA cup youth team. And now Coquelin is gone, and Wilshere is looking like he's headed the same way. There were some guys who looked very good. I think Sanchez Watts is now playing non league.
No doubt that the Frimpong and Bizzle dench antics was a distraction from football. Imagine all the parties with hot ladies!
He was an extremely promising hard midfielder but lost his way. Such a shame for football.
