I would stick with McCormack up front in a 4-4-2.

I think he is a confidence player and seems to be content with starting up-front.

He does play on the wing at times, but that tends more to be mid game tactics.

Him and Becchio up-front is looking the business for me.

Also, he seems to play better when there is a lot of skillful movement around him (Clayton, Snodgrass, Gradel etc).

I would be more intrigued with a left winger to be signed.

Agreed jonty, i can't really remember pugh lighting the place up before, what's changed? don't think i like this deal to be honoust

McCormack could play well on the left wing, but he's obviously a striker. It's should be a last resort, not a first choice. He's a striker, is playing fantastically, and should stay upfront.
