we were playing newcastle and i was staying at a girlfriends who lived in sunderland. went on the train from sunderland with no sign of a toon - 10 minutes away from s'land and loads of them come out with newcastle colours,
same on returning to sunderland.
shame for them that i got off the train first and told the s'land mob waiting that the ones behind me were newcastle
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Grass <snake>
----------------------------------------------------------------------
they had a go at me and my mate at the newcastle train station - fook 'em

Bolton is a good place for a drinking session, last time i were there i ran into McGinley but he is a big fella and hard as feck so i let him off for past discrepencies and i also ran into the Bolton side out for xmas fancy dress the same evening.
Where is it??? Ooop north like
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm really not a violent man, but if I was ever in the same room as that, dont care how big he is still, I would have a fooking good go at him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Aye, words i uttered many times, but then i saw him and my mates lass strongly advised me not to bother.
I gave him the evils though so there is that......
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Isn’t he only 5’9”? You are a coward Cinciwolf.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think that's what he was saying as I ran away
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I’m 5’10”, so if you need a tall guy with you next time ...
Still won't be facing Arsene next year then, packing up at season's end.
shame in a way as I respect Wenger for what he achieved, but ultimately he hung around too long
Been a great manager for Arsenal overall and his teams have often been very good to watch albeit over elaborate with the passing game at times trying to walk the ball into the net. But in recent years they have struggled to keep up with the other big clubs and they are overdue a change of manager and need some investment to start competing with the other big clubd in the transfer market.
I think Wenger much like Fergie earned the right to go out on their own terms, Don't really remember Arsenal going big on transfers often. Whomever gets the gig has a nice platform to build on, decent squad, brand new stadium and you'd imagine a fair wedge of cashola
considering that arsenal are the natural second biggest english club wenger has done crap for at least 10 years.
not that i give a sh!t about arsenal or wenger as long as they keep away from nuno
Wenger probably should have gone just after Arsenal finished building the Emirates. He was fantastic for them on a budget, always keeping them in the top 4. Since the purse strings loosened and other teams began to invest more money he has really struggled.
I absolutely detest Wenger for his shocking lack of respect for other managers after matches, the amount of times he refused to shake hands because his team got beat was pathetic.
How he has remained in charge at arsenal the last three seasons at least is beyond me as he has done more damage than good and left the club in a bit of a mess and if they had moved him on back then they would be a genuine contender now.
What's this nonsense about lack of money

That first paragraph doesn't look good for Nuno.
I personally think Wenger is a legend and he helped to change the Premier League. His Arsenal team played brilliant football and he really looked to develop players. Some of his Arsenal teams have played fantastic football.
His last few years have been poor, but that doesn't change what came before it. I remember the Man Utd rivalry where games between them in about 98 and 06 was a massive event in most football fan's calendar.
I actually think, if the Arsenal board invest this summer; he has left a good footprint to build on. Aubameyang, Lacazette, Ozil etc are fantastic players. Players like Mustafi, Ramsey, Bellerin etc provide decent options. If the bring in some top centre backs and midfielders over the summer with a good manager, they could easily do something like Chelsea did with Conte last season.

What's this nonsense about lack of money
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He did lack money compared to the other top teams during the building of the Emirates and the few years afterwards. That coincided with them losing players to other big teams like Van Persie for example.
In recent years he has spent money and that seems to coincide with him struggling.
He certainly had a great impact when he first came and for a good ten years but his transfer policy became hopeless as everyone could see Arsenal lacked a backbone but yet year after year pay huge money on a powder puff creative player or two rather than address the real issues. Arsenal have more than enough money to be able to win titles and have had throughout his time at the club.
And yes, i said a few weeks ago after handshake gate that i sincerely hope Nuno doesn't go down the same path and that despite going about it the wrong way Warnock had valid reasons for being peed off with him.
I personally don't care if Nuno shakes someone else's hand. It means nothing in the grand scheme of things.
As long as he is doing well, he can do what he wants at the full time whistle.
It will be interesting to see who Arsenal turn to, someone well known and established or an up and coming youngster with a good pedigree. Suspect it will be the latter.

Mikel Arteta has been assistant to Guardiola this season hasn't he? Maybe too early for him at the moment, but he knows the club and might be worth a punt in the future for someone.
never mind Le Arze,
no 1234 Ivan Cavaliero or Ryan Bennet for us tomorrow

Nice surprise that Neves is fit though. Cant see cavaleiro playing again this season if as it looked he has pulled a hamstring. Guess Bonatini or Afobe will take his place but i would like to see Gibbs White get a start
Would definitely give mgw a few games for experience
Would give vinagre a few as well given he may not be Keen to stay as things stand.
