I can understand needing to be an optimist if you really think we may get something from this game, but last Saturday the Portland Timbers, who in their first 6 games were W1 D2 L3, were playing New York FC who in their first 7 games were w5 D2 L0 and had scored in every games (20 goals in 7). Guess what? - The Timbers won 3-0!
I'm going to wait to see the team before deciding how optimistic I can make myself.
Why is it all ticket? - for safety reasons? I know if they win they clinch automatic promotion and many may want to travel because of that, but mid week during the season under 1000 travelled (other than New Years Day).
Here on the Left Coast spring has finally arrived with yesterday our first 70+F (21.1C) day and today is forecast to be 80+F (26.6C). However Saturday is forecast to be <15C!

Cracking game. All is forgiven! Blackburn are clearly a class side, and hard as well, but for 80 minutes the chaps kept them out. There were also sections of the game when we managed to hold the ball and give them some problems. Why can't we play like that against the mediocre sides? The other results pretty much went our way and unless Oldham not only win their final games, but also do so by big margins, we will be in Div One next season. As it now matters not a jot about our league position is it time to blood some fringe players?

Blackburn were a good side, and as Albi said, a little hard - poor Alfie needs to put on some weight so he can throw it around a little! He was bundled off the ball too many times.
It is a pity the goal, yet again, came from a set piece. However our lads played with 100% effort for the whole game, and although we rode a little luck at times, defended very well.
We played some good football at times, and also made their GK make one or two smart saves. Pity Mason did not give his header some direction near the end.
Let's take Mr. Wellen's team to task on Saturday and make ourselves mathematically safe! (you really have to watch the spellcheck as it changed Richie to Mr. Wellness!)

Chaps we've been safe for a couple of games. Too many sides played/play each other below us.

Fantastic effort by the lads last night but Blackburn’s quality showed that we are quite a way from competing for the top spots next season.
We do have some very good players but need to add better in some areas.
Also the high tempo of the game last night improved us going forward.
Against lesser teams than Blackburn we are often too pedestrian in our build up play.
Another end of season collapse is also a strong possibility right now with Oldham and Wimbledon needing to beat us to stay up and then Wigan on the final day possibly needing a win to secure the title.
