Auba and Laca have scored more than the other 4 combined since they left.
You have a knack for selling players to a rival and making them stronger
Alexis has been a massive disappointment up until two weeks ago. Walcott, no one's heard of him since. Giroud is doing what he was doing at Arsenal.
Ox is the only one who's improved.
In the period Alexis and Giroud have started scoring, PEA and Lacazette have also contributed their bit.
Such another pointless, reactionary article. Only Giroud was a bad sell.
As bad as Walcott was/is the guy had tons of end product in terms of goals and assists. We managed to replace him with Iwobi who literally cannot score and hardly assists.
We should have been replacing Walcott with the likes of Draxler/Mahrez.
Only player I miss is Giroud and I wouldn't swap him for Laca or Auba.
I'm much happier with Mhiki than Sanchez based on this seasons performances. He's a great fit for our team.
Ox doesn't look any different to the player we had, not sure where the hype has come from. Hopefully CM is one of the first areas our new manager addresses, so he certainly won't be missed.
Walcott is now playing at his level. £20m was great business. Only the other side of Liverpool would have been stupid enough to pay more.
If you said at the beginning of the season we would lose Sanchez, Giroud, Walcott and Ox but gain Aubamayang, Mhikitaryan & Lacazette then I'd have signed you into a mental health clinic. These guys are a massive improvement on all bar Sanchez, who was becoming more and more of an outcast at the club anyway.
All the players you listed are attacking players, an area of the team that last season we all agreed needed improving. We would surely all now agree that this is the area of the team our new manager will least need to focus on?
Iwobi is like a poor man's Welbeck, who himself is a poor man's Walcott.
Giroud and Walcott were the only ones we had power over keeping. Walcott was barely getting game time so might as well cash in. It was a choice between Giroud and PEA and I'd rather have PEA, do miss Giroud though.
Aubameyang was going to happen as long as Sanchez was going to be sold. Surely a stronger manager could have just kept Giroud to be that impact player. Forget the fact that he wanted game time, he was tied down to a long contract

No, it was widely reported Dortmund wouldn't sell unless they got a replacement. So Giroud was either going to Dortmund or Chelsea. Also keeping Giroud against his wishes could've easily backfired, and totally unfair on him. He's been a good servant for us with minimal fuss and its a WC year.

Sure, whatever. He can have praise for these signings if it makes you feel better. I'm really happy with our transfer business this season (Ozil included).
Quite happy with everything the club has done off-the-pitch in 2017/18 to be honest (removing Wenger included). On the pitch is where I continue to get frustrated and funnily enough that lands right at the feet of Wenger, who has overseen the decline.
According to reports today we will only have 50M as transfer budget. To generate more we will have to sell first

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not true, as we couldn't pay him the wages due to the rules.
Kolasinacs mega wages hit the increase we are allowed each season massively, even if you deduct Gibbs wages.
Alexis and Walcotts wages covered most of Ozils pay rise and Mkhitaryans wages.
The likes of Coquelin, Ox and Giroud then bridged the gap and paid for Auba and other pay rises.

Tomorrow it will be a "£200m warchest".
But the new manager will want to redevelop the squad anyway, so it is natural players will be sold.
Pretty much a non-story, tbh.
I can see Wilshere leaving, Mustafi sold and possibly one other major sale. Probably Bellerin

Not really care about the warchest tbh, although it won't go down well with the WOBs who were cliaming that it was Wenger who didn't want to spend.
To me, the most important is bringing fresh ideas and getting ride of the current coaching staffs which will be the case if reports are true. We might finally see someone who can coach and improve both defense and GKs.
Think there will be more redevelopment than a couple of players going.
The likes of Chambers, Ospina, Holding, even Kolasinac are ripe for the chop.
Welbeck, Koscielny, Monreal could be others the new man may push out
Wouldn't be surprised if Laca went, tbh.
The defence should get an overhaul this summer.

Really hope Laca doesn't go as he's a proven goalscorer who just needed some time to settle in a new league and struggling team.
Even if the warchest is only 50m, as you say, any new boss will want a lot of the current players gone which will free up wages and generate additional cash.
Apart from our defence which pretty much needs a complete overhaul and Xhaka who is poor we are pretty sorted anyway. Admittedly buying 2 new CBs a GK and CM will set us back a few bob though.
@ £150m I'd say.

Conservative estimates:
Xhaka £15m
Welbeck £15m
Iwobi £10m
Mustafi £20m
Ospina £3m (or is he a free?)
Monreal £10m
Chambers £15m
Holding £15m
Joel Campbell £5m (yep he's still on our books)
Jenkinson £3m
Good thing is we could theoretically get Meyer and Horn for relative pennies.
