He was great at Basel,so fast and skilful 👍
Competing for a starting place with Hazard, Willian, Oscar etc.
Hmmm, I wonder why he couldn't make the break through
As well as having to play in a "track back" Mourinho side. The odds weren't in his favour during his brief spell at Chelsea.
Just a real shame that we didn't have a different manager when the likes of Salah and KDB were here and trying to establish themselves.

Well now you mentioned it yeah
I'd happily trade that one PL title we won in Jose's second stint if it meant KDB and Salah still being at the the club now.

Cause spurs do so well from having the best player in the league all over the park
I don't know if I'm own here but my personal opinion at the time when we had both of these players was:
De Bruyne was clearly a talented player, perhaps a little weak but other than that was a very promising player. Disappointed when we sold him .
Salah on the other hand, at the time I wasn't that bothered about the sale. Yes, he showed signs of brilliance, was absolutely rapid, but was very raw. He definitely deserved more minutes but I don't think many predicted he'd turn out to be this good; unlike De Bruyne.

Charlag obviously we have the use of hindsight here. None of us knew that Salah was going to become as good as this although as far back as his Basel days there were signs of an exciting attacking talent.
But even without hindsight it was difficult to understand why De Bruyne didn't work out for us. The manager obviously didn't fancy something in his attitude and demoted him to the under 21's. Maybe Jose will do an autobiography one day where he justifies the decision. Won't be holding my breath though.

We have good wide men and no 10s in Willian and Haza.
We miss someone to control game like KDB more
