I'm personally hoping for Sarri.

Has a great record of bringing young players through and plays entertaining football.

Sarri or Jardim would makes so much more sense in this era of not just frugal spending but wanting to bring through our best young players.

Jardim in particular, although we seem to be linked more with Sarri at the moment.

We won't employ Enrique with those wage demands anyway. Can you imagine how much it would take to sack him ?

Frankie, you'd call me mad, but i'd Rather Jody Morris than Enrique.

Wouldn't call you mad at all Flash. I'd be quite excited if we gave the job to Jody. I've said the same thing elsewhere. Won't happen though as he doesn't have top flight experience. Assistant maybe, who knows.

Thing is we need people like Jody Morris to stay at the club long term and one way to stop that happening is to make him manager.

Albeit with the u21's Jody Morris' managerial career makes very good reading to be fair

Charlag, I know i'm crazy but if given the choice between those 2 'candidates' Enrique or Morris?

I'd give the gig to Morris.

News to me.
Not known at Napoli for bringing through youth or rotating.

Sarri's youth record to date is underwhelming actually.

I think Enrique is already in place to take over at Arsenal, Wenger has pretty much endorsed him in the past week.

Believe Napoli’s youth academy takes much to be desired recently but certainly has helped develop likes of Diawara, Zielinski, Rog, young players for future brought in by Napoli.

Me too. He's Rijkaard mark II. Will not end well.

For me it's summed up by three different paths we could choose to go down, and three top contenders for each respective direction.

If we want to begin building a philosophy in playing style, make our identity about a brand of football going forward (emulating City & Liverpool) - Maurizio Sarri.

If we want to bring someone in with the intention of building a next generation of players, having a manager young enough to grow with said team (emulating Spurs) - Leonardo Jardim.

If we want to bring in a proven pragmatist with a rich CV who looks ready to try his hand in the PL (our current formula) - Max Allegri.

Any one of those three is fine with me, look as we know going in what we're getting out of all of them and back each respective manager accordingly to avoid the Conte fiasco repeating itself (e.g. don't hire Sarri and sign a bunch a players who don't fit his philosophy).

maybe Zielinski gets playing time but has never had a run of starting games.

Diawara rarely playes and Rog gers a few minutes at the end of games.

one of Sarri's major failings is his not willingness to give young payers a decent chance, just ask Adam Ounas or Luigo Sepe.

Perfect for Chelsea then.

I was speaking to a Napoli fan the other day and he said the same. I was expecting him to rave mad about the coach, but all he kept talking about was a lack of giving youth a chance and a reluctance to rotate the team. Didn't really know what to say to him.

So without seeing much of Napoli personally, all I can say is the football you play must be bloody good to get Sarri all the praise he has this season

Fair enough, i got that info partially from this article:

https://t.co/tfskGhff2u

And perhaps it’s also relative. Diawara has over 1000 minutes of football this season, a role Chalobah should have probably had for us and Rog has come off the bench in 26 Serie A games which tbh I’d be extremely happy if one of our younger, fringe players achieved that. Conte has had a problem in giving absolutely minimal minutes to younger/fringe players, not starting them in cups, not bringing them off the bench when 3-0 up..

‘Millions have been wasted on such players, while the talent of Chelsea’s prodigious academy and greatest asset has been similarly squandered. Would Sarri finally be the coach to seriously promote Chelsea’s forever-wasted youth prospects? He has not had the opportunity to with young players of the quality of Chelsea’s; Napoli’s Primavera hasn’t reached Italy’s playoff-style finals since 2012/13, when they lost in the first round to Chievo. Looking back to Sarri’s Empoli days, though, it is clear to see he trusts young players with significant roles.

In his two seasons in Serie B – reaching the promotion playoff final, then winning automatic promotion – at least 10 players 22 or under played significant roles. Twenty-one-year-old Vasco Regini was ever present in season one before moving to Sampdoria. This was also the aforementioned Hysaj’s breakout year, among others. In 2013/14, when promotion was accomplished, Sarri’s star defender was 19-year-old Daniele Rugani, now of Juventus and an Italy international.

Other successful young players who played significant roles that year were Simone Verdi aged 20, now an Italian international valued at €24 million, and Mário Rui. Piotr Zielinski, also just 20, Hysaj, Rugani and Rui were all key players in Empoli’s successful Serie A survival season. “At Empoli, youngsters grow as a result of their mistakes”, said Maurizio Sarri. A far cry from Chelsea’s recent efforts.

While there have been no notable breakthroughs from Napoli’s academy under Sarri, there have been opportunities for three young players in particular. Zielinski – who arrived from Empoli a year after Sarri – made 36 Serie A appearances last season. Marko Rog played 19 games and has already bettered that this campaign, while Amadou Diawara rotates with Jorginho at the base of midfield, playing 28 games in all competitions in 2016/17.’
