Afternoon. It is a miserable wet day in Notts today. Was a grueller for my lad’s team this morning, especially the keeper. Was zipping off the wet turf at him from all angles! Going home to dry off before heading for the CG. Confident Forest can put paid to Brizzle’s play off chances after the win the other night.

Will let you know the view from the Upper Bridgford as the signal allows. 👍🏼

I’m going for a 2-1 home win with B.B. and Cash getting the goals.

Karanka has hinted at a couple of changes again. I would expect to see Lolley back in for one. Osborn will more than likely be at left back. Karanka kind of has free reign to experiment so it could be interesting.

Stayed dry here so far.

Going for a relaxing 3-2 win 👍

Bit of a nothing game but would be nice to see players be given a run about.

Weirdly enough, I could see a midfield with Watson colback and bridcutt playing as an aggressive sweeper working upfront working well both defending and going forward. It sounds defensive but think they have that vision and desire to get forward that it could work

My only reservation with the midfield at the moment that they are all a bit similar and like to sit in. Don’t see any of them busting a gut to make the penalty area when Forest attack. Bridcutt’s goal v Cardiff was the exception rather than the rule. Puts a lot of pressure on the forwards to get all of the goals. The defenders haven’t chipped in enough from set pieces either.

Guedioura was a good box to box midfielder when he was last at the club. Hopefully, a good pre-season will get him firing again.

Well after the Barnsley game, I have no idea what to make of this particular line-up, I take it Pants won’t be playing for Forest again, obviously truth in the rumour that a Prem club is in for him. Very unusual for AK to play 2 up front, could be a real open game, especially as Brizzies last match ended 5-5, doubt this will be that high but probably a 3-2 for one of the sides.

It’s jist Murphy up top isn’t it? 4-2-3-1 as usual but with Bouch getting a run out. Is this the last time we’ll ever see Cohen playing? Really hope he can get on for a few mins at least

Sounds like Nathan Baker is going off on a stretcher after being struck by the ball?

Good first half.

Lolley outstanding...

Nearly the most entertainment you could have without a side scoring.

Good half

Lolley is such a quality player. Build team around him and hopefully Tomlin next season

Benny wins a peno, Tomlin takes it and Fielding saves it drat.

Pity that Cohen couldn't score a Roy of the Rovers last minute goal.

Lets hope for better performances next season.

Positives
Very attacking and entertaining
Defensively sound - 0 shots ontarget

Negatives
Murphy didn’t even pretend to care
We didn’t score

Was good in patches but the three in midfield didn’t get up and support the forwards enough. Murphy was pretty poor. If he is still the main striker at Forest next season, Karanka will have not done his job over the summer. So immobile and loses too many battles for a man of his size.

Fox has an outstanding game. He dominated their forwards and didn’t lose a challenge. He has proved me wrong for one as I never saw a place for him at Forest over the years. Looked very assured and deservedly won MOTM.

Lolley and Tomlin did well in patches but with only the immobile Murphy to aim for, they had their work cut out. Cash at least stretched the Brizzle defence as they tired but also found it difficult to find Murphy, who Flint had in his pocket.
