I agree. Kennedy wanted the legacy characters out the door as quick as possible, apart from Leia (being female) who would have been in all three movies and might not even have been killed off in end of the third movie, had Carrie Fisher lived.

Having said that I'm sure Ford was more than happy to reprise the role in this part of his career for the huge payday and to get the death of the character he always wanted to happen. Kind of worked nicely for both of them.

Not for us fans though of course as those movies were w@nk.

And as much as I respect Ford for the great movies he's made I don't think he gives that much of a fook about these characters like Solo or Indy anymore. If he did there's no way he would have agreed to do Indy 5 after seeing what Kennedy and Lucasfilm are all aboot these days. And after seeing how poor the Disney Star Wars sequels were. Mans had full warning and didn't heed it.

Of course Ford is gonna be cool with that.

The same way Ford had no control over his character in Jedi, when he first suggested it, is the same way he had no control in Force Awakens.
It just happened that Kennedy was more than willing to kill him off.
Same way she killed Indiana Jones, but due to test screenings they reshot the ending.

Not sure I agree with that fam. The mans must have seen the quality that Disney owned Lucasfilm were producing. In Indy 5 we got the exact movie we were always going to get under that Kennedy led shambles lol. You could see it a mile off.
