To the car park...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Do they still own the car park?
3 year deal to see Celtic up to 10 In A Row
Does he come with a free packet of magic beans?
Trying buy your way to titles doesn't usually work out so well, especially for the papershop next door
Daft strategy IMO
If you have money to fund a transfer kitty then use some on it on a good manager then the rest on players
Not get an unknown manager to spend on players
Now now ... lets not discourage them...
Dave has a "cunning plan"
I don't get the negativity here.
Personally, I think Gerrard comes across as a bit of a thicko and I don't see him becoming a top manager..but that's just my opinion.
It's a great opportunity for him. If it goes well and he can improve the team, it will open up opportunities in England for him.
If it goes badly, he just bails out and blames the circumstances/King/the board.
This is a free shot at glory for them.
From Rangers' point of view, they can't attract a manager of the calibre of Rodgers at the moment. The choice is simple....appoint an obvious idiot (like Pedro or Warbs) or take a punt on an unknown quantity like Gerrard.
It's a no-brainer and a great move by Rangers.
I'm concerned about this new found warchest and who it might bring to challenge our dominance but I suppose as long as Celtic spend a tenner for every fiver they spend, s'all good.

I actually hope they do have a warchest.
Competition will keep the players sharper and will also most likely loosen our own purse strings a bit.
No idea how he’ll do and imho a bad decision (gamble) by rangers board but again in my opinion good for Scottish football
Is this the war-chest that only the true Gerrrrrrrrrad can open?
Otherwise surely we would have seen it by now.. perhaps the plan was to let us get to 7 to build our hopes up or maybe even 9!
Maybe Dave will let us start counting titles won from NOW

Sorry Mr Curly.. not sure that really answers the question of the 'just found, were has it been' war-chest?
Obsessing, discussing, poking fun at... it's all much of a muchness.
I hope for Celtic sake that this will make Rangers stronger so there will be more interest in your league and a better tv deal which means more money and better players.
Gerrard isn't that influential.
From someone on the interwebs, and got it spot on
MackerOnTheMed: It’s like climbing Mt Everest without sherpas, ropes or oxygen while carrying a bull elephant on your back. What’s the rush to get into management? He’s got time on his side he’s only learning his trade & now jumping into this job. Talk about a baptism of fire! Lunatic.
Succeeds he's a hero
Fails he returns to TV punditry with tail between his legs and a wage bump like Neville.
