Are you suggesting we pair djourou with koscielny then? Obviously until vermaelen is back.
sack the board for sure not letting that 1 go, the old greedy dinosaurs
I don't want to see Djourou anywhere near our team now. It's quite sad because he was so good for periods last year.
I'd like to see Djourou just find his confidence again. Chamakh seems to be getting it back again (touch wood) so maybe Djo will as well. He can be a top quality centre back
i see, its Per's fault we were awful at the back last season...... i smell a new scapegoat...
Chammy, DJ, Arshavin, find there confidence, what are we a team of mentally inept women?
I would love to be present at the training ground and see for myself what the hell the manager and coaching staff actually do with regards to defensive awareness and organisation.
I agree with Dial with regards to scape-goating Mertesacker.......this is an endemic team problem and not down to one man who's only been here five minutes.
Mertesacker was solid against swansea and dortmund, both him and koscielny were poor against blackburn.
Dial Square for murderousnessness (U7680)

He's a BRILLIANT player. You don't get 50+ Caps for your country by being shh!t.
all im saying is, either we play deep/er when hes playing, or we don't play him at all.
i hate seeing him playing a high line when we all know hes not the fastest guy.
I would also suggest that a complete lack of tactical awareness from AW may be a problem too.
Playing exactly the same way regardless of opposition - Barcelona aside, can anyone think of another side who have gained success by employing the same tactics over and over again?
I agree with Major G, I completely fail to understand why people are saying things along the line of 'Chamakh is terrible and always has been' when for the first few months of last season he was very good. I know he and Djourou in particular haven't been brilliant of late but then neither has most of the team, and the facts speak for themselves - last season Djo was part of one of the best defensive partnerships of the season. Players don't decline that much in such a short space of time - his only issue is lacking confidence, as is Chamakh's.
Playing a high line with a player like Mertesacker is suicide. Zonal marking is also slowly killing us, we were supposed to be more defensivly solid particularly from corners but we were an absoloute shambles.
Do you lot still think your keeper is brilliant?
He's amongst the worst in the league along with DeGay!
Given, Robinson, Friedal, Schwarzer, Reina, Hart, Cech, Jaskelinen, Kenny, Howard, Krul...
All > Chesney
Zonal is brilliant,
ITS THE ARSEING HIGH LINE
