Shaquiri should interest a lot of clubs...i'd swap Fabregas fr him right now

posted on 17/5/18

12m for Shaqiri, he will have a host of teams interested at that price there's not many better bargains.

It would be Burke's 4th club in 3 seasons if he was to move again, not really done it in a Scotland shirt but didn't see enough of him at WBA to make a judgement.

Fabianksi is a class act, expect he will be looking for first team football though

I've always liked Fabianski very good keeper, certainly better than our options of Hamer and Jakupovic.

Shaqiri is one lazy facker, but on his day he is a class act, he's more of a risk. Burke I don't know too much about if I'm being honest, went to Germany and struggled by all accounts and hasn't made much of an impact at West Brom by all accounts.

If we got him for that cheap Rudkins done a great job!!

I have no idea if that’s good value as don’t know too much about him, but comparing what we’ve apparently paid against what they asked for seems like a good bit of bartering.

Would imagine it means Puel is staying. Hopefully we will get Plea as well

Jonny Evans Next please

Miami - You want to replace someone accused in some quarters of downing tools this season with someone who downed tools this season?

posted on 18/5/18

Not sure Wes Morgan downed tools from what I saw and as for Evans no idea on that. Quality center back though and boy do we need one

Shaqiri release clause of 12m???? Is that correct? If so ....surely worth the risk .

I think there both some cons to Evans and Shaquiri, but at the same time, I think we do need to add PL experience to our purchases. Investment is great from abroad and with players like Cairney or Maddison from the Championship, but we have seen that having a whole host of ‘potentials’ can take a while to gel and we are a position where we need to kick on rather than take another slight backward step.

I’ve said this before and I know he is knocking on a bit, but I think Cabaye would be a great signing for a couple of years.

Worth a punt on riviving Luke Shaw’s career??

Shaquiri apparently wants Champions League Football.

Worryingly, under Puel I’m starting to feel the same way about Leicester as I donabout England.

I see “Leicester signing x” or “Leicester linked with y” and I just don’t care.

Can someone help me please. I’ve been contracted England Apathy towards my club and I don’t know how to shake it!!

TB - He won't get it in this country. I can't make my mind up on Shaqiri. Capable of the sublime but can also go missing for games on end and doesn't seem that interested in defensive work.

I think the one name I've seen mentioned that I'd be more interested in is Alfie Mawson from Swansea.

This. If he was that good, why was he anonymous for most of the season. Reminds me of Gray a bit. Pops up with amazing moments so other fans think he’s incredible, but actually 99.9% of the time, he’s just attitude and incompetence.

Only in Football!!

Johnny Evans has a £3 million release clause.

Sounds great but his Agent is demanding a £4 million fee.

Evans ( 30 yrs old ) wants a 3 year deal on £100k a week.

Yeah or Nay?

posted on 19/5/18

Nay. And a big Nay on those terms. A 3-year contract for a 30-year-old centre half is fine, but £100k per week is too high. Probably a good £50k too high. £4m signing-on fee can likely be negotiated.

But I have wider concerns over Evans after this season.

£4 million is for the Agrnt fee, not signing on!

Man City apparently still interested in Mahrez, reported that a deal is being held up by intermediary demands.

Looks like cash and player ( Patrick Roberts ) if a deal can be agreed.

posted on 22/5/18

Great opportunity for him to play under Guardiola, crazy to think he may risk that due to his agents demands.

If he plays regularly he really could kick on and improve further under his guidance I'd imagine.

£20 million knocked off his price now to facilitate a move to Man City.
