Not surprized, I'd say the jocks are full of the 288 comments thus far on the other one.

Pity it's so early for a run at the POTY and let's face nobody likes bad news.

Dream Smith for me btw.

Dean Smith is the fav but big rumours going round that Martin O’neill Is coming in👌

Fair shout. That seems to be the kind of level we can aim at.
I can’t see a manager that will sell a lot of season tickets coming in as Mel will have to fork out a few quid and promise a hefty transfer pot.

Pretty disillusioned.

Dean Smith (& Grace) make a very fine lathe BTW

MON crossing the divide would be a step too far.

All I hear is we don't want an old school manager yet we could be considering the headmaster

Now igor, we all know there's no school like the old school, and he's the fackin headmaster

How often would Uncle Mel storm into O'Neill and Keano's changing room?

My guess is 'only once'.

Keane in the corridor would suffice.

I hope it’s Dean Smith. May be a shout for Shrewsbury boss Paul Hurst who has done a fantastic job here but his football is of the well-drilled type favoured by our last manager. Simmo is a lovely bloke but this is not for him. Please not Stimac, would be a disaster. I don’t want any of the old school although it was interesting to hear Colin saying recently how he has always wanted to manage Derby. Strange thing to say before a big game.

Seriously mate, have you watched any ROI games recently and these are few and far between.

When was the last time MON did it week in week out and in the EPL.

It won't end well.

These are not hard men. Threatening and posturing when protected by Refs and endless TV coverage and no chance of it really kicking off. Don't believe their own hype <OK>

Pity it's not for the greater good and never mind the fixation.

Mon is just a no no, simples.

I still laugh at the altercation between Keane and shearer many moons ago in the Prem where shearer reeled Keane into a reaction, got him sent off then just stood there eyeballing him as Keane did the "hold me back" routine with all his team mates.

Interesting how little anyone cares that Rowett has gone. I was delighted when we appointed him but the few times i have seen Derby in the last 7 months, i have been less than impressed.

I just hope we don't recycle one of the old guard like McCarthy.

posted on 23/5/18

Why so anti McCarthy?

He did a great job overachieving with an Ipswich team that never spent any money

When he has had money he's got teams promoted comfortably

He also tells you exactly how it is

posted on 23/5/18

He is basically Gary Rowett in 20 Years time

I tend to agree with Bush. McCarthly has always struck me as an honest pragmatic character. He oozes experience and of all the old gaurd touted around Mick would be the one I be happy with.
Remember what a player Lawrence was at Ipswich, Mc Carthy can only be good for him.

posted on 23/5/18

Take your point about finances, Bush, but he's just about managed to keep them in the division and hardly flirted with the playoffs. Only if the expectation was relegation, has he overachieved.
Public vote with their feet - have you looked at Ipswich's attendances recently ?
