Will MM have to blow all his GR compo to get Paul Cook?
Depends how much he wants to blow cook?
Stoke's compensation fee - if it is £2m - is a mere fleabite - Virtually nothing like it will cost to replace the duplicitous man. I thought he could be straight - but not bloody likely. He will be remembered very badly by Derby fans.

RFB, this is a serious question. Do you have educational issues of any sort? I know that you are something of a figure of fun on here and we take the mickey out what we perceive to be your stupidity, but I would feel bad if there were genuine reasons for it. There was a Forest poster who was frequently a bit incoherent and we used to have a laugh at his expense and tell him to take more water with it and so on, and it turned out he was actually alcoholic. So if it is a similar thing with yourself and you are a bit educationally below the average then just say so. We aren't all bad on here and I am sure we would all say that it is to your credit that you participate at all if you are struggling against disadvantages.

Nice one Vidal. Wouldn't want to upset RFB any further than he already is.
Frank Lampard now favourite!
I'm seeing what you've put Baz and I find myself shaking my head.
He's got to start somewhere but amongst the muck and bullets of the championship is probably not the place to start. Perhaps if we took Dean Smith from Brentford he may go there. It would suit him better especially as his wife is pregnant, because he won't move up here. He'll always be a cockney so will always be looking for a job in the Smoke if one came up.
Not for me I'm afraid, he can go and learn his trade elsewhere.
But we did ask for a box to box midfielder.......
I assume that's not a typo, Rameses.
No.
Do you like Mick too?

Like yes want no.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes but, no but, yes but?
The way I see it Rowett has left the club in turmoil and we need an experienced head to come in a settle things down.
If it's McCarthy the players won't be fretting about next season and as a result won't be tempted away.
The up and comers are just a punt. It could work but most probably won't. But the likes of Carson and Davies are less likely to stick around to find out.
Mick has what it takes to get the current squad playing well and as I said it'll be more likely that the squad will stick together.
Taking a punt on an up and comer didn't work last time with Rowett because he wasn't patient enough to see it through and jumped ship to further himself.
Mick won't do that, his record shows that he stays at clubs and gets the job done.
Ipswich were always a tough team to p!ay but they don't have what we have so I think he could really work for us.
You make a good case, Rameses.
It's a bit uninspiring but of the old-timers he is the one I would choose. Morris won't have failed to notice how well Colin has done and McCarthy is of a similar mould, though less of a Colin than Warnock. I still favour Dean Smith if possible though.
Less of a Colin than Warnock.
Lampard is odds on 8/11 next is Smith at 6/4 then the rest 12/1 bar.
Seems to be down to these two according to Skybet. Dean Smith has stayed around the same but Lampard odds have been firming up all day til now he’s odds on. The rest have drifted out.
Seriously Lamps. not the first to say it by any means but is Rosie and worse still 'arry in the background?
Yes, Lampard now 1/2 and set.to be announced tomorrow?
'arry is the really scary thing to me, how many clubs has he fcked over £££???
Jody Morris as coach. 'arry DOF
Lampard will certainly put bums on seats. Short term.
I think it’ a risk we don’t need to take. He’ll be able to attract some players but can we afford them?
Certainly a big name and perhaps we’ll sell a few more season tickets.
It’s hasnt happened yet but everyone else has drifted out except Smith.
We’ll see tomorrow I expect.
I heard he’s had two interviews at Ipswich but that’s were the interest ended. Either by Lampard or Ipswich.
Could it be he was thinking about Ipswich when the Derby job came up and he’s gone for the Pride Park option.
Just speculating.
I can hardly imagine Frank being the 'austerity candidate'
Good luck to him, but you'd have thought Morris would have learned not to appoint the untried from the Clement experience.
Agreed Ang, Lampard is a huge risk and Harry is a huge worry.
We should go for the safe bet in Dean Smith.
Hope so, VC.
