I'm glad you share my fear Wellies. I have plenty to hand round to all takers on this one. 1-year contract for Mick-type manager is the safe option. Why the hell you would want SM back baffles me. Get Deano in. Just make sure it's the right Dean though. Not the Welsh one.
Whilst I hesitate to disagree on footy matters, why the safe option? Nigel would do that, we would be mid-table or so, and here we go again.
Experienced managers/coaches have all tried and failed so lets try something new for goodness sake. Be bold. Have faith. It can only all go horribly wrong. And we are good at that.......
Dean Smith has shown he can manage well and get his team to play good football without spending much. Frank is completely unknown. It can go horribly wrong and we need no more of that.

Will anybody be disappointed if we now DON'T appoint Frank?

I can't even get my head round this question, never mind wot Wellies wrote
Heb (whoever he is)?
I to fancy the "bouncy castle" approach..............

..................... what about David Lowe BTW, he had a good win ratio, (which will please Spart)?

Do you detect the note of jealousy and panic in Will Scarlet's post?

Rams envy
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Haven't heard that for a while
I'm okay with Dean Saunders quite liked Dean Yates too.
Just think SM's a good coach not necessarily a great manager but feel comfortable that the players can develop and maybe get a few decent loans is as I think he is respected amongst his peers.

Wouldn't throw a hissy fit with MoN or Dean.
MM .... maybe a little mardon.

I know you better than to think that was a typo
Perhaps Mel could tempt 2W back from the new world. I doubt he’d come cheap though.
Excellent post Wellies
I've almost forgotten about Gary Rowett and the play offs.
Just by the level of posts, you can tell that there is underlying excitement at the possibilities.

I'm in the trepidation boat.
I'm as cheap as they come Scouse ain't gonna lick the a55 of the fans though, say mean things about me and I'll just find new ones and ban the moaners.
Three whinges and you're out. 1 moan at Fozzy and a 3 match suspension.
What are you doing on my Tinder page AJ??

They're all just hoping for an inheritance.
SM! Again!
Once is happenstance. Twice is circumstance. Third time it's enemy action
Have you listened to Athletico Mince the association of 5hit football managers ... very funny???
I just think SM already knows the strengths and the weaknesses of this team, the idea of someone else bringing in a new idealogy, breaking everything down to start again exhausts me. I do not fear ruins but am okay to take a break from them.
It doesn't have to be SM I just think he could hit the ground running better than most, NP still thought Hughes and Bryson could work in a 2 man midfield, watching another manager re-discover and re-introduce old mistakes again doesn't fill me full of excitement.
I'd go with third time it's circumcision mesel, that'd learn him.
Marcelo Bielsa though I'd give him the keys to the wrecking ball.
It would be an absolute embarrassment. He has no loyalty, will leave at the drop of a hat and just how desperate do we have to be.............
SM that is. Not 2W who would be ace
